ECONOMIC SUMMARY

There is a thriving industrial sector on Gatan, and agriculture
is a major export on Ottull.

One of the major industries on Timbor itself is mining.
Within the Mountain Regions are heavy deposits of latinum as well
as traces of trilithium. The Federation has approached the Council
of Twelve with permission to set a station here to mine the
precious materials. The exclusive rights to the mining were part
of a packaged deal with Federation Enlistment, provided the
Station had a specific number of Timbori running the Station and
Timbori would eventually be allowed to enter Starfleet. The
agreement was made and the first Timbori to enter the fleet was
son of the Council House of Lier, Sho (See LTM. Sho Bio on USS NOVA).

The Council of Twelve hold much of the wealth which is produced
in-system, However the clans of the general populace do receive
various levels of wealth due to the standing of each clan in the
society.

The Twelve powerful Houses are similar to the Shoguns of Earth's
Ancient Japan. The Lord of each house overlooks a certain region
and is responsible for the clans under his jurisdiction, from
their personal issues to their well being.

History:

Timbor dates itself back to a mythical age as do many societies in
the Federation.  As with many such societies, Timbor first
developed a Council to end a civil war between the existing Houses
of that time.  Since the formation of the Council there has been
peace and unity among all the Timbori Clans, helping forge the
basis of the family oriented and united way of thinking.
(Everything becomes "for the good of all our kind.")  The Council
began to reign in order amongst the anarchy.

The Timbori are first and foremost a warrior race and many of
their sciences are based for military applications, although their
is smaller areas that are referred to as "Pure" consisting of any
nonmilitary ideals.

RACE/SOCIETY/CULTURE

General Physical Appearance: Are a humanoid race similar to
humans with some apparent distinctions. Their skin is pearl-white
and their eyes are pure black with no discernible pupils. They
also have a small ridge across the forehead.

Special Requirements in Class-M environments: None

Social Structure: The Timbor society is primarily Clan-based.
With Honor being the chief way to gain prestige and social
status in the society.

Languages: Originally only primary Timbori and its offshoot
dialects were taught. However since joining the Federation, the
Timbori have begun to introduce terran basic to higher levels of
schooling.

Religions: Religion is based on gods named after the 8 planets and
the 5 moons of the Timbori homeworld. Each Deity (god) represents
an aspect of life from prosperity to death. The Council Houses are
named after a Deity that it worships.  Only the Council Houses may
take such names, as it portrays a family of overwhelming honor.

Culture/Traditions: Although a Warrior is the greatest occupation
a Timbori can hold, that does not mean all other occupations are
looked down upon.  On the contrary, Timbori believe every
individual has a destiny and if he follows it there can be no
greater honor.  All Occupations are valued and appreciated, there
is no such thing as a demeaning job.

Educational System: Education is done at local establishments
funded by the council.  It is vital to the culture that all
Timbori receive great resources for developing  higher education.
(A stupid Timbori is a dead Timbori.) Houses usually fund personal
tutors for their family unit.

Their greatest accomplishment has always been war related. Their
military technology has incorporated the G.C.T. into all starships
from fighters to the battle cruisers.  The G.C.T. (Group
Consciousness Technology) boosts the natural telepathic abilities
of their race to become linked during battle and become
frighteningly similar to the Borg in speed and coordination. This
is an example how they have prevented hostile forces from
endangering their worlds. No known force has been able to populate
this system, they practically own it.

The only exception to this is the Federation Station which resides
on the homeworld. The Federation is the first sentient beings the
Timbori have complete respect for. (Probably due to the diplomacy
skills of the original ambassadors, a quality most Timbori lack
subtle persuasion and pure compassion for species not one's own.
A attribute the Timbori find most honorable.)
