B.  Background Summary:
K!hii’ was born with the 143rd Pod that lived in the northeastern waters of the Hii!kiki Sea.  Showing a quick grasp of science, and mathematics, he joined the largest Science academy on the planet, and passed top of his class, being offered a teaching position.

He turned down this position, opting instead to join Starfleet, where he served as a navigational officer for most of his Career.  It was not until he was assigned to the USS Macronin that he had a chance to prove what he was worth, as the Chief Science Officer.  This position was downgraded 3 months later to assistant chief science officer, as one with higher ranking was assigned.  There was rumor that it was ordered by higher, but no investigation was done.  A year later, he was approached by Admiral Beckett who offering him a promotion to Lt Commander and a chance to be out on the frontier, where his knowledge of quantum warp physics would be tested.  He accepted, and was shipped out to the Foothold.
