Fleet Command
The patch for Blue Fleet, found on coffee mugs and conference room walls all over Starbase Gamma.
The symbology of the patch embodies much of Blue Fleet's history. She was the first fleet to be created as an administrative unit in ASR. The "Gold Fleet," although seldom named as such, was considered to be the original fleet. So the Gold and Blue rays symbolize the formation of those two fleets from one another. Since a large contingent of Indigo Fleet came from Blue Fleet when it was formed, the ray to the top is indigo in color. The blue-white star to the left represents Gamma Orionis, aka Bellatrix, the home of Blue Fleet Command Starbase Gamma. The orange star at the bottom represents Herod, the location of the joint Romulan-Federation DS-12 and a wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant. The cluster of three stars at the right represents the three stars of the Gideon Tri-cluster, home of the Blue-Gold Joint Task Force and Point Gideon Station.
USS Fearless
Draft of the new unit patch for the USS Fearless. Based upon the old British Royal Navay seal for the HMS Fearless. Likewise, the motto is based upon that of the HMS Fearless. The motto means, "The name says it all."
USS Nova
The unit patch of the USS Nova. Note the incorporation of a nova-style starburst, as well as the different color stars in the patch, representing the different fleets Nova has been a part of since opening in ASR in 1991.
USS Excalibur
The unit patch of the USS Excalibur. Aside from the mythological allusions, note the silver, indigo and blue stars used to symbolize the service fleets Excalibur has been a part of in its long-storied history.
USS Yorktown
A draft of the new unit patch for the USS Yorktown. The silver-colored starburst outlined in indigo in the background represents the time Yorktown spent in service under both Silver and Indigo Fleet's command. Yorktown has been part of ASR since her founding in 1994.
USS Valhalla
The unit patch for Blue Fleet's newest addition, the USS Valhalla. The caricature in the patch is that of Brunhilde, one of the mythical Valkyries who would carry fallen warriors to Valhalla, the Hall of Heroes of Norse mythology. The unit's motto is an excerpt from the Ragnarök Prophecy which reads:
USS Persephone
The unit patch for the re-born USS Persephone. In the middle of the patch the silouette of Persephone as the greek embodiment of the Earth's fertility and at the same time that Queen of the Underworld. The red border encircling the patch are a reminder of the time the original USS Persephone spent serving in the ranks of RED FLEET.
