RT9910- CINCSF Report

From StarFleet Bureau of Information

CINCSF Report

Assembled delegates,

The last 6 months has thankfully been rather quiet. Work continues on the
ASR Manual and document review process at a slow, but steady pace. Some
sections have been turned over to branch heads for further work. The core
chapters are, essentially, complete and have been incorporated with other
ALB documentation into a QuickStart Guide for ASR which incorporates into
a single, well organized document, detailed information on the basics of
the game and post writing.

There have been a number of changes within the administration. Mike Dawe
resigned after a long and distinguished career as CINCSILVER. He was
replaced by Alton Reich.

Tim Meushaw retired as COMANC. The duties of the COMANC position were
returned to the jurisdiction of COMLOG since the general level of interest
in Free Threads has remained relatively low.

Violet Fleet, under the command of James Bowman, was merged into Green
Fleet with James taking command of the combined fleet under the Green
Fleet banner.

Scott Lusby replaced Chris Fontaine as COMALB upon her appointment and
confirmation as CSFO and has done very well in the position. He also
served as COMPA until recently yielding command of that branch to his XO,
Sean Murphy, who has been confirmed by the flag council as COMPA as of
last month.

In June, James Braun was appointed UFPDOCA Secretary to replace Trevin
Sandlin. He has been succeeded in this position, as of September, by Marc
Johnson.

Also in June, David Hills was appointed as Director, Officer of Star Fleet
Intelligence. He resigned effective last month. The acting director is
Matt Nicholls.

Again in June, Kip Manley was appointed Secretary of UFPESCO. He's begun
some fantastic work at revising and expanding the ESCO database and is
also helping on the section of the manual which provides summaries on the
most common races in the ASR universe.

In September, D'Maris Coffman succeeded Renee Bennet as Commander, Star
Fleet Judge Advocate General.

Also last month, Mary Ann Harrison was appointed to replace Matt Cunliffe
as COMSCI.

I'd like to thank several people. I'd like to offer my thanks to Chris
Aubrey and Mike Natale for their service over the past month during the
LOA's of their respective CINCFleets. Their contributions to their fleets
and to the Flag Council discussions over this period are appreciated.

I'd like to thank Tim Meushaw for his efforts in the development of a new
database system for tracking personnel and players in ASR. The new system
is still a work-in-progress, but when it is completed it will offer a new
level of power and flexibility to the Fleet Commanders and membership at
large.

I would also like to thank Jason Bostjancic for his continued service as
COMSFE and for his exciting new graphical work for the branch, of which
I've already seen a few sneak peaks. I am hoping to see make a public
debut over the next few months. You will be astounded.

I'd also like to thank the entire adminsitrative team of ASR. I think
that, overall, the administration is running as smoothly as I can
remember. In particular, I'd like to thank Chris Fontaine and Jeff
Finocchiaro who have provided invaluable assistance in guiding the club
over the past six months.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey Jenkins
