Title: Proposed reactivation of the Commander, Public Affairs (COMPA)

Premise: Recruitment is a daunting task for any organization, and in order to streamline those efforts, collaborate and avoid duplication of work, it is proposed that ASR reactivate the role of COMPA.
 
Existing Efforts: Everyone who is inclined aids in recruitment by word of mouth in a casual manner.
However, a central figure to guide all formal efforts in attracting new and former players would serve
to leverage the spectacular environment ASR has developed in almost 30 years of collaborative Star Trek fiction.
 
Analysis: As in the past, the COMPA would be the “Chief Recruiting Officer” for ASR, charged with
attracting new and former players via advertising across all platforms and social media outlets.
He/she would also develop and update any out-of-date related documents on BOI. Finally, COMPA
would respond to any casual inquiries regarding our club and ultimately liaison with BuPers any
direct requests to join.
 
Conclusion: We must take advantage of the increased presence of Star Trek in all forms, including
the final season of Lower Decks, Section 31 and hopefully the continuation of Strange New Worlds.
Rather than seek volunteers, I propose we open the floor up for immediate nominations for COMPA.
An influx of invigorated imaginations may be what our club needs to reignite our passion for
exploring our own strange, new worlds in the ASR universe.
