CINCSF's SPECIAL REPORT

Dear Delegates,

It is my saddest duty to inform you that our CSFO, Mr. Sean Murphy, passed away yesterday due to a massive heart failure.

We are all in shock due to this most horrible event and our best sentiments and thoughts go to his spouse, our own dear comrade Robin, their family and RL friends.

As for us, we all have shared thousands and probably millions of words through RPG, NRPG and plotting emails with Sean. He was a force of nature worthy of reckoning, and certainly one of the hearts and muscles of this club. His witty characters, his sense of humour, willingness to jump in any situation and always lend a hand were just the tip of the iceberg: he was a magnificent planner, a prolific and creative writer and a trusty comrade.

His loss is our loss, and ASR will mourn him and honor him as he deserves.

Right now it's not the best moment to make decisions, we will have time for that in the next months. In the meantime, some actions to maintain the operation of the club are in order.

Mr. Scott Lusby has stepped forward and will resume his command on DEEP SPACE 451, which Mr. Murphy had held for longer than the last year. He'll wield the station for the next months until we can appoint a player with adequate time commitments for the post, and we are very grateful for this. We know that the SB SERENITY family will work hard to make things easier for everybody.

Mr. Lusby has also agreed to be my interim CSFO. His position will be ratified in the October RT. Until then, please work with us to keep the Club running as smoothly as possible.

As for RANGER and YORKTOWN, the respective Command Teams will work with the Council to gather the necessary reinforcements.

In light of these events, the Chair retires the Proposal P13.01.01. The Council will work with the Command Teams as stated in that text.

Lastly, but not least: while proper honors are prepared, and until such a time Ms. Murphy tells us otherwise, all Mr. Murphy's characters are to be treated as protected NPCs, always trying to keep their RPG in character. ADM John Charlesworth will retire with full honors in favor of Mr Lusby's character of choice.

This has been the hardest blow: to lose a comrade, a friend, a partner. Without a shadow of doubt, all our worlds, real or strange new ones, have been shattered to pieces and will be darker from now on. It is our duty, however, to keep the lighthouse that Sean Murphy was for all of us shining bright and high and dispelling all the shadows.

Sit Terra levis tibi, Sean.

Respectfully submitted,
The Chair
