CSFO's Report
Report of the CSFO APRIL 2020 Firstly – I have little to report as CSFO. I have been apprised of no new members. Any new members who have come to post, have come from a direct route and not through me or the office of CSFO. I have had no contact as CSFO or privately in any capacity from anyone expressing an interest in joining ASR. I have made no efforts at outreach to other groups or other individuals as our CSFO. I did reach out personally to a couple of individuals who used to participate in ASR that I still had contact info, from Facebook, but in both cases, they said they had finished writing Star Trek, and basically said they appreciated my inquiry but were not interested in returning to play. Secondly – We are down to one “unit”. If there are any ‘free threads’ – I have missed seeing them. Thirdly – My evaluation of my tenure as CSFO: Poor. I was unable to find new players or recruit any past players. I found no new players, and there were no new players that came to me to mentor. Anyone new who has posted since I became CSFO did so without my support, encouragement, or advice. Not willfully, I was just unaware of any new players coming in during this period. Lastly – I cannot envision it making any sense for me to retain the position of CSFO, as I have done nothing to enhance ASR’s profile, or play, or membership, in the period of time I have held the CSFO position. Therefore, respectfully, my intention is to step down or step aside, as CSFO, as this is the period the club procedures call for elections of the CINCSF and CSFO, it seems this is the right time to do so. This concludes my CSFO report. Mike Shea CSFO
