RT0004- CINCSF Report

From StarFleet Bureau of Information

CINCSF REPORT

Assembled delegates,

The last 6 months have again been relatively uneventful.

I'd like to thank the entire adminsitrative team of ASR. I think that,
overall, the administration is running smoothly and has been providing an
environment conducive to RP where the captains and their players have no
need to be concerned about club stability or politics.

As before, work continues slowly, but steadily, on the ASR Manual. Some
sections have seen marked development, notably that on awards and uniforms
and may see release before the completion of the total manual. Also
nearing final approval is an official ASR Map. The QuickStart Guide has
seen several revisions and is still considered a work in progress, though
it is in use at ALB. The Command Billet Description document has finally
emerged from editting and has been sent to COMREC and the ASR Webmaster
for publication. A new comprehensive guide to starship technology in ASR
is in the editting stages as is a guide to travel speeds and distances in
ASR.

In January, Jason Bostjancic announced his resignation as COMSFE. He has
been replaced in that position by Alton Reich. Matt Nicholls was
confirmed as the permanent director of the Officer of Star Fleet
Intelligence.

In February, Silver Fleet launched the USS HUNTER ADAMS. Margaret Kipp
resigned as Commander, Task Force Zinderneuf, Silver Fleet.

In March, Alton Reich resigned as CINCSILVER and was succeeded by Andy
Catterick.

Some may have noticed an addition to the entry page to the ASR web site.
Starting this year, I have been placing news announcements on the
index.html page of the ASR Homepage. So, if you do not go directly to the
Text Only or Graphical Interface sites, you will see an approximately
monthly letter from the CINCSF.

I have been working on a new bio submission form based on the ASR Maual
and QuickStart Guide. It is nearing completion and should enter use with
ALB shortly. It has been posted to the web for demonstration purposes at:
http://baudelaire.princeton.edu/asr/bio.html.

I would like to thank Jason Bostjancic for his efforts in maintaining both
ASR and SFE web pages and Margaret in her efforts to keep the COMREC page
up-to-date. I also thank both for their efforts at their past
administrative roles of COMSFE and COMSILVERTFZ, respectively.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey Jenkins
aka
Admiral John R. Brooks
Commander in Chief Star Fleet
Star Fleet Command, SB ALPHA
