Vom Mospher (father), former Syndicate capo, now a leader of a trading
consortium which transports raw goods between Orion and Ferenginar. He is
a shrewd businessman with many ties to the Syndicate and to the various
Ferenginar rouge organizations
SIBLINGS:
Kin Nulyaba, the eldest sister (aged 29). Rialla believes that Nulyaba
currently is a "lodublayn" (slave girl), but Rialla has not had contact
with Nulyaba for nearly eight years.
Kin Sayora, the youngest sister (aged 22). Sayora recently completed her
Bachelor's degree from the Mars Institute of Technology in astrophysics.
She recently began a tour as a civilian scientist onboard the USS
Oppenheimer, a Starfleet science vessel, observing subspace phenomena in
distant galaxies to continue work on the infinite big bang theory. She
hopes to eventually gain admittance to the extremely prestigious Orion
Institute of Cosmology after completing the requirement for one year of
field research.
Vom Vosnor, Rialla's brother (aged 22), is currently employed in his
father's trading consortium. Rialla maintains limited contact with Vosnor.

III. BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES

A. Chronology (tabular form):

0-18: Lived with parents on Orion. She was a passable student throughout
her primary education career, but she was not particularly meritorious
as a student. Initially, she was very involved in traditional Orion
culture and was in many ways stereotypically Orion, and her family
believed she would become a dancer or lodublayn. She however decided to
attend college and return to Orion at a later date. Her parents were not
happy with her decision to do so, and refused to fund her tuition. Forced
to pay for college herself, she applied to the SFROTC program in hopes of
earning a scholarship. She recieved a scholarship to attend the
Interplanetary University of Andoria.
18-22: She attended the Interplanetary University of Andoria. She majored
in Subspace Physics, as her SFROTC motivator advised her to pursue an
engineering degree. Luckily, she discovered a true passion for physics as
a result and performed much better academically than she had on Orion. I
addition, she was a high performer in SFROTC, earning a commendation for
both her 2/C and 1/C professional research projects and her cadet tour on
the HOKKAIDO. She discovered that a career in Starfleet, something which
she did not consider before SFROTC, was something truly interesting for
her. As a result she attempted to perform to the best of her abilities
academically.
When she was not participating in SFROTC or her academics, Rialla was
very active both physically and socially. She participated in sports all
throughout the year, particularly enjoying the mixed martial-arts program
that IUA offered. In her off time, Rialla joined the Delta Chi Omega
sorority. She was very active socially. While Rialla was fairly
conservative by Orion standards, she was still considered fairly libertine
by most humanoid standards. At one point there was a hazard that her
activities would affect her SFROTC, and she received two formal cadet
reprimands as a result. She became somewhat more reserved in her behavior
in the eyes of Starfleet.
She received her commission as Ensign (O-1) upon graduation, was assigned
the MOC of Tactical/Weapons Systems, and was assigned to the Caesar-Augustus
class heavy cruiser USS MARCUS AURELIEUS as a Junior Phaser Officer.
22-24: Served as a junior officer onboard the USS MARCUS AURELIUS. She was
assigned as the OIC of the Type Xc phaser cannon. During this time, she
served with distinction within her duty role. She saw combat action on
multiple occasions and maintained the Type Xc during damage control
situations. In addition, she received two responsibilities relatively
unusual for a junior tactical officer: she became the Tactical division
damage control liaison, and also often stood as officer of the deck when
the ship was in dock. These responsibilities allowed her to demonstrate her
ability to gain further professional trust, and she took aN intraship
transfer to become the Deputy Phaser Officer. This position allowed her to
demonstrate further responsibility as she was now the deputy section lead
for all phasers on board.
Off-hours, she enjoyed much time in the holodeck, courtesy of several dozen
holoprograms sent to her from Orion by her sister as a care package. She
was issued warnings several times for uniform violations.
After almost two years as an Ensign, she was promoted to Lieutenant J.G
(O-2) and was tapped to fill the recently vacated Phaser Officer position.
24-26: Served as the Phaser Officer onboard the USS MARCUS AURELIUS. Was
responsible for all phaser and point-energy weapon systems onboard. As a
journeyman officer within the Tactical section, she was now able to stand
watch as the Watch Tactical Officer. She served with distinction in multiple
engagements with the enemy. Was tapped for promotion to Lieutenant (O-3)
after the DCTO transferred to another vessel. Was assigned as the DCTO.
26-28: Served as the Deputy Chief Tactical Officer onboard the MARCUS
AURELIUS up until the completion of its six-year mission.
B. Background Summary:
----------------------
Rialla comes from a fairly weathly and influential Orion family. Prior to
choosing to attend college and her Starfleet service, Rialla had undergone
some training under her mother as an Orion dancer and lodublayn (slave girl).
Her family expected that this would be the career which Rialla would choose.
Even though she did not choose this path in life, she retained her training
in the control of her pheromones. As a result, the use of the pheromones to
produce the typical effect of desire is fully under the control of Rialla. A
very powerful skill, she believes that aside from her relationship with her
younger sister, it is the only meaningful skill her childhood brought her.
However, she generally does not use this skill in everyday life, except to
inhibit the pheromones while outside her private quarters.
She was not necessarily a good fit for Starfleet initially, but she grew to
fit the role. The problem that many Orions struggle with within Starfleet is
the difficulty adjusting to human morals and sensitivities. She overcame this
to an extent during SFROTC, but even during her first tour she occasionally
struggled with rigid uniform codes and decorum. Eventually, she found several
reasonably effective outlets off-duty.
Aside from incidents of decorum and uniform, she was a well-liked and effective
officer. She served with distinction as the phaser officer and as a watch
tactical officer. She also pursued a qualification of flight control and
eventually received a secondary MOC as a flight control (HELM) officer. During
her time on the MARCUS AURELIEUS she received two Starfleet Achievement Medals,
a combat action ribbon, and the MARCUS AURELIEUS's two Efficiency awards and
one Fleet Unit Citation. As the DCTO, she once served as the interim CTO while
the CTO was temporarily reassigned to SB 172 for training. She remained aboard
the AURELIEUS until the completion of its six year mission.
C. Personality Summary:

Rialla is fairly outgoing and friendly on the surface, but internally tends to
remain reserved and suspicious of others. While considerably more reserved than
many Orions, she is fairly libertine by Starfleet standards. While she tries to
dispel many of the stereotypes certain male officers have about Orion women, she
herself displays many of those traits. She was raised in a culture of using ones
sensuality to gain favor and power, but she is much more subtle about it than one
might expect. After she began to discipline herself as a junior officer, she was
able to stand out as a unique but nonetheless effective leader. She can be violent
if need be, but generally chooses to resolve her problems without resorting to
any violence. She lives by the motto, "Be nice, until its time not to be nice."
In short, she displays the fairly common behavioral traits of a good Starfleet
officer: excellent leadership and communications skills, calm under pressure,
assertiveness, inquisitiveness, and skepticism. However, her upbringing causes
these traits to be "flavored" with the exotic Orion culture, making her an
unusual and effective officer. A flaw of her blend of Orion and human culture is
her intense pride, bordering on egotism perhaps, which is liable to make her
angry at the smallest hint of disrespect towards her, especially if the disrespect
is based on the reputation of her species.

Lieutenant Rialla is an excellent officer in her field. She has an excellent
understanding of space combat and her ability to adapt to unusual situations
is more than expected for someone of her experience. While she is an excellent
officer, I would advise her to be less brash in her mannerisms and tone when
giving guidance to junior officers. However, her affect her professional
competency very little and I believe she has potential to do great things
in Starfleet.

VIII. Current Recreational Interests
==================================
She especially enjoys holoprograms in her off time. She enjoys alcoholic
beverages, but due to a condition affecting most Orions, she is sickened by
compounds found in synthehol. As a result, she can only enjoy beverages with
authentic alcohol and its deleterious effects. She also is skilled in the art
of traditional Orion dance, but she keeps this a well-hidden secret as not
to perpetuate the idea that she holds any relation to the "orion animal
women" of Starfleet lore.
