DANGER, JACK P. _______________________ Starfleet Personnel Record, SD 190714 COMMANDER JACK PHILLIP DANGER, 9821-42-138123/20 EXECUTIVE OFFICER, USS NOVA (NCC-1776-A) Designator : Command Specialties : Security Tactical Information Warfare APPEARANCE___________________________________________________________________ Race : Human Gender: Male Age : 35 Hair : Brown Eyes : Green Height: 6' 4" Weight: 210 lbs PERSONAL_____________________________________________________________________ Birthplace EARTH Family LCDR Darla Danger (Wife), 32 Currently serving as XO, USS STALWART Kevin Danger (Father), 62 Currently residing on Earth, Sol System Julia Danger (Mother), 59 Currently residing on Earth, Sol System LT Robert Danger (Brother), 26 Currently serving as COMMO, SB BETA Hobbies Throughout his days at the academy and as a junior officer, Jack has enjoyed playing competitive soccer. He excels at defensive positions and can also play goalie in a pinch. Due to increasing responsibilities and demands on his time, he has not played soccer recently. Jack has continued studying martial arts after first being introduced to various disciplines in Security Force Training. He holds a black belt in Judo and has also practiced Kenpo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Kung Fu to varying degrees. Always interested in computers, Jack continues to dabble in high-level programming, subspace networking, and systems troubleshooting. A professional opportunity allowed him to explore information warfare and information security policy. EDUCATION_________________________________________________________________ Star Fleet Academy - Major: Strategy & Tactics Minor: Information Technology Jack was known as the "anchor man" in his class at the Academy, graduating last in his class. While not the sharpest of minds, he is by no means unintelligent. A combination of lack of challenge and motivation, along with the attitude that "the Academy just not being dangerous enough for my liking" led to his poor performance. To further perpetuate the rumor that "anchor men" are automatically assigned as expendable security personnel, he was subsequently sent to Security Force Training upon receipt of his commission. He served as captain of the Varsity Phaser Team and vice-president of the Computer Club. He played soccer intramurally, but never at the varsity level due to the time commitments involved in underachieving. Jack was well-liked by his peers, and a pretty popular cadet during his years at the Academy. Mostly because he was always the guy who made everyone else look good. Security Force Training Upon graduation from Star Fleet Academy, Jack completed the 6-month Security Force Training school for newly-commissioned security officers. Due to his uncanny knack of taking the most dangerous course of action available at every opportunity, his instructors evaluated him as one of the 78% of security officers expected to not survive their very first Away Team mission. Trained in hand-to-hand combat, personal weapons, heavy weapons, repelling boarding parties, rules of engagement, combat tactics, counter-terrorism, negotiation, search and rescue, shuttle piloting, demolitions, law enforcement, and first aid. Information Warfare School Allowed Jack to enhance his skills with computers and utilize them in an offensive manner against the Dalriada, while maintaining the security of Star Fleet information systems. Trained in information security policy, rules of engagement, system infiltration, data recovery, network monitoring, malicious logic coding, system sabotage, nanotechnology, subspace routing, network protocols, vulnerability detection, and information assurance. While emotionally stable, his lack of caution and overall recklessness has caused his performance to suffer. Recommend assignment as a security officer to let natural selection take its course. - entry by CDR Thel Marrgel, Counselor, Star Fleet Academy (SD 060515) Lieutenant Danger has shown remarkable performance improvements since his pre-commissioning evaluation. Despite the tendency to put himself at maximum risk in every situation possible, he has prospered as a security officer and has shown incredible heroism, motivation, and leadership. Recommend lateral transfer out of the security field and into the command training pipeline. - entry by LT Marcus Johansen, Counselor, USS PROMETHEUS (SD 090815) MEDICAL______________________________________________________________________ ENTRY : Twisted ankle CAUSE : Soccer injury. He owes much of his career progression to the men and women who served under him, and he realizes that. Many of his superior officers frequently wonder how he managed to make it as far as he did, and some conflict with his superiors (as well as disgust by his subordinates) over his performance is expected. A lot of people in ASR like to roleplay a hero. I wanted to see what it'd be like to play a schmuck. :) -- END OF RECORD --
