Notes:
Born to two influential Trill, Tarvis Ren grew up with a life of comfort and education. As a young man, Tarvis was very
interested in space and Starfleet. Although his parents discouraged that in him, he still dreamed of traveling amonst the
stars and becoming a Starfleet Officer. When Tarvis was old enough, his parents enrolled him in the training to become a
Joined Trill, an honour of the highest standing among his people. His mother was a Planetary Council Member (Minister of
Security) and his father was the Chairman of the Symbiosis Commission so it was almost pre-ordained that Tarvis would get
a symbiote someday. Passing with flying colours, it was determined that he would be Joined with the REN symbiote when the
current host, Emony REN passed away.

As a young man, he was sent to the side of Emony, a powerful woman who was a brilliant scientist. She took an instant liking
to Tarvis' wanderlust and taught him about the history of the REN symbiote. The REN symbiote was one of the most reknowned,
prestigious and ancient symbiotes, having lived for 10 hosts to date. Emony made sure that Tarvis understood the honour he
was receiving...if he did, indeed, receive the host.

Graduating from the Trill Education Institute and passing the Starfleet Entrance Exam, Tarvis was accepted to Starfleet
Academy. Although his parents were very disappointed in him, Emony was very happy and proud of the young man she had
seen grow. With his final good byes, Tarvis went to Starfleet Academy.

Working hard, Tarvis noted that he was no longer the smartest, the fastest, the most charming or the most knowledgeable
person in his class. Tarvis became fast friends with a male Vulcan named Stenn, a Human woman named Genni Carson and a
male Tellarite named Grevek. The four of them helped each other through the Academy and Genni became his lover. It was
her friendship that helped him through the "accidental" deaths of his parents in an explosion on the planet caused by
dissidents who wanted the symbiotes available to all.

Graduating from the Academy, Tarvis' career was just beginning. Although parted from his friends, he made new ones and
became an excellent Starfleet Officer. On the 15th of March, 2389 Tarvis received a Communique from the Trill Symbiosis
Commission and Emony REN. Tarvis was to travel to Trill asap as Emony was near death, haven sufferred a heart attack
she would not recover from.  The day after Tarvis arrived on Trill, he was Joined to the REN symbiote and became Tarvis
REN.

After many years in Starfleet, Tarvis finally received his first command as the Captain of the SOLAR-class USS NEBULA.
For over four years he served as her Captain until a Battle with a rogue Time Travelling Xindi left him near death in
a temporal state of fugue. Pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. Forresst of the NEBULA, the symbiote was saved and
transferred to Myzaa Carrde for a year while Tarvis underwent an "out of body" time travel experience. Tarvis' body
somehow survived in status at Starfleet Medical and shortly after his recovery, he was re-united with the REN
symbiote. Myzaa Carrde returned to Trill awaiting her own symbiote and Tarvis REN was promoted and assigned a
Classified position within Alpha Quadrant Starfleet Security in the Temporal Investigations Branch.

A short time after his Classified Mission was concluded, Tarvis Ren was promoted to Vice Admiral and assumed command
as the Commander in Chief GOLD Fleet on Stardate 210509.

Psych Profile:
Ensign Tarvis Valeri is a calm, even tempered, smart, charismatic young man that tends to get himself in trouble
relatively easily. He has no compunctions against walking into situations head first without looking, but he responds
well to these situations whether they are non-stressful or high stress. He is reliant on his friends a great deal, and
it should be noted that he brings out the best in the people around him as they bring out the best in him. Although a
bit quick to act, his wisdom will grow with experience.

ways that I can only begin to fathom. The symbiote is causing him concern as well, as he has been going through all of
the losses throughout the many years of his ten previous hosts and these are causing him severe distress. I have approved
his application for a Leave of Absence to return home to Trill.
