The Defiant is one of Starfleet's 12 Constitution-class exploration vessels, her mandate being "to explore strange new worlds...to seek out new life, and new civilizations" on the frontiers of the galaxy. Defiant is part of Twelfth Fleet, itself a division of STAR FLEET: ORIGINS, which is based on the alternate timeline set in the 2009 Star Trek movie.
