Family Members: •Farther: Mren Dahk, native of Andorra, Captain of Andorian Fast Supply Ship, Cruissa Plains. Imperial Guard Reserves Commander. DECEASED •Mother: Lura Dahk, Native of Andorra, Lt. Commander, Imperial Guard Medical Corps. Assigned Fast Supply Ship, Cruissa Plains. DECEASED •Fiance: Peraass, Caitian Medical Cadet, Starfleet Academy. DECEASED Background: Born into a prominent military family, Sruk was essentially raised and suckled on the Andorian military standards and beliefs. He was trained in personal combat, infiltration, survival, small arms, heavy weapons use, martial arts, cargo logistics and cryptography while in the old Imperial Guard Academy and was forced to learn much of his basic training again and in a very non-aggressive manner when he was transferred to Starfleet Academy. Sruk was never one to go out for sports of any kind but during his time in Starfleet Academy, he picked up a taste for Ice Hockey, Track and oddly enough the Glee Club. It seems the harmonics from human song reminded him of home a bit. He received honors for his sports efforts each year he played, but often Sruk forgot that the games were just that and developed a reputation for being mean and vicious, not to mention very liberal with the rules. But he considered them more of additional training for combat. His Glee Club time was almost the only time that Sruk felt truly at peace. He never accepted any chances for solos or to sing leads as that would draw unwanted attention. Instead he often paired with a Caitian named Peraass. Despite all his racist upbringing, he became enamored with her and soon the pair started dating and becoming intimate. After a period of 6 months Sruk decided that the Herr-Klaa had happened. This was what the older generations of Andorians called it when one met their perfect mate. The two became engaged and despite some trepidation, they forged forward and began planning their life together. Three months after they became engaged, there was an accident in the Medical Building, involving an accidental explosion and fire. Peraass was mortally wounded dragging fellow cadets from the scene. She succumbed from her injuries shortly after Sruk arrived on the scene. Sruk swallowed his emotions and pain, throwing himself into his studies. He abandoned the Glee Club and severed all connections and friendships, preferring to isolate himself. He graduated from the Academy with honors, requested frontier border duty and was rewarded with a posting on a Patrol Frigate, along the Romulan Neutral Zone. His old racist beliefs came flooding back to the front and he became a negative influence. It seemed he would end up being dismissed from Starfleet until he was assigned to Starbase 20, which just happened to be commanded by a Caitian. Here Sruk began to re-emerge from his internal exile from life and become a valued officer. The next two and a half years saw great strides and accolades for Sruk, culminating in his heroic efforts defending the Drakkus Colony during the Gorn Raid. He received gazetted promotion to Lieutenant and was awarded the Starfleet Security Cross and Andorian Cluster for Valor. He also spent four months recovering from injuries received. He never fully recovered mentally from the Gorn Raid. This caused a gradual deterioration in his status and record, culminating in being Court Martialled twice and finally broken in rank and transferred to a dead end assignment as punishment. He is very bitter and distrustful of most, especially Vulcans as he blames them for having something to do with his fall from grace. Character traits/personality: Sruk tends to be sullen and moody. He has strong racial biases and is prone to being cold and distant. He often sees himself as superior to many other races and often seems arrogant and distrustful. He still considers himself a member of the Andorian Imperial Guard first and Starfleet second. He was a member of last class to go through the Andorian Imperial Academy system as his people were in the process of transferring such training to Starfleet Academy and its various branches. He had specialized in covert operations, but with the disbanding of the Imperial Guard he was retrained in weapons technology and learned the auxiliary skills of cargo logistics. Sruk has innate dislike for Vulcans that stems from the days when Andor and Vulcan were fighting one another as bitter enemies. His dislike for Vulcans grew as he was passed over time and again for promotion and advancement in favor of Vulcan counterparts. He developed a fear turned to hatred for lizards and all saurian races after an incident in the triangle where he saw his mother and father killed by Gorns in a cargo dispute. He swore revenge and achieved it during the Drakkus Colony Raid.
