== Introduction ==

Mess Dress uniforms are worn for all functions in the Captain&#39;s Mess; simply put, they are the most formal uniform of Star Fleet personnel.&nbsp; As such, they are the only uniform on which service medals are worn- miniature medals are worn on the right breast, in order of reference.
