ASR Honors List- October 2008 Round Table
From StarFleet Bureau of Information
OCTOBER 2008 ROUND TABLE AWARDS ================================= Please join me in congratulating writers and administrators listed below; they are examples of the finest that ASR has to offer. CONGRATS one and all! Respectfully, Bruce Summa, ADM Sharas Tavell Commander-in-Chief, Star Fleet (CINCSF) Star Fleet Command, SB ALPHA & Lena Rose, ADM Xelestra Zadara Chief of Starfleet Operations (CSFO) Star Fleet Command, SB ALPHA OUTSTANDING COMMAND PLAYER AWARD ==================================== Tim Smolen (OPS, USS VALHALLA) Since coming on board, Tim has been a driving force for spurring roleplaying with all the players, whether the new arrivals or the old veterans. He has brought his vast enthusiasm for the game and his skills as a storyteller to his role and it is very muchly appreciated by all. He has even taken over a few tasks of the XO, which has helped me out considerably. A welcome addition to the crew! Susanne Dubrov (XO, DS13)- Ms. Dubrov has done a wonderful job in complimenting the sometimes-chaotic genius that is Sean Murphy (heh heh) in pushing the story line of DS13 ahead. Furthermore, Ms. Dubrov serves as an outstanding example on how to successfully integrate new players into a unit. Indispensible, in a word. Reggie McKamie (CO, USS DAEDALUS)- Mr. McKamie, since bringing DAEDALUS over to Gold Fleet, has done outstanding work in making the changeover a smooth one while continuing to plow forward with the ship's stories. A veteran CO who knows his job and does it- well. Ed Bell (CO, SB SAIKAI ) For being the best absentee CO we could ever wish for. He has tried to keep up despite the fact that he doesn’t know how stable his email access will be. Scott Ramos (CO, USS YAMATO) I'm nominating Scott because not only did he get thrust into this job at the last minute, and was very gracious about taking it, but he had to listen to me rant and rave. Markku Herd (XO, USS ANDROMEDA) For always coming up with original and entertaining ideas OUTSTANDING PLAYER AWARD ========================== Rob Meier (MED, USS FEARLESS) I'll let you write the text of the award. Lena Rose (PRO, USS CIRCE)- Far and away the top posting player in all of Gold Fleet in terms of quantity. The quality of those posts is a match for the quantity as well; Ms. Rose mixes character development with plot-movement most effectively, giving her character depth while moving the larger plot forward. Antje Bechtoldt (OPS, USS DAEDALUS)- The anchor of DAEDALUS, Ms. Bechtoldt takes the direction set by her command team and runs with it, effectively moving the plot forward while bringing others along for the ride. Effective at connecting with new players and veterans alike. Sean Murphy (MCO, USS CIRCE)- "The Old Master" has seen this list more than almost anyone in ASR, yet Mr. Murphy continues to show us all just what a Marine character should be. He continues to be without peer at twisting the plot into surprising (and usually destructive) mutations, and in general creates nothing but good fun for all. Rob Meier (PROCUREMENT, TFS)- Mr. Meier has done yeoman's work for Task Force Sierra since joining the unit, plowing forward with the unit's story lines in the murky underworld of espionage. More than anyone else on the unit, he has kept it afloat with his intelligent and intriguing posts. Alan Rogers (OPS, SB SAIKAI )For the Greenhorn award, not that his a greenhorn per say but he is to SAIKAI and he brought his character in with a bang and new mission too. Merrica (COU, SB SAIKAI )She has supported the unit as counselor backing up every post where she was included. She even posted when posting levels were low. Lena Rose (CMO, SB SAIKAI) As our biggest poster both with her NPC’s and her PCs when she was OPs of Saikai having recently been replaced by her own wishes. She even found her own replacement for OPS and has taken over Saikai’s medical department. Karen Fainges (CMO, USS YAMATO ) For hanging in there even when we were comtemplating closing the unit. She posted when no one else did. Tim Smolen (?, USS YAMATO) For hanging in there even when we were comtemplating closing the unit. He posted when no one else did. Tim Smolen (OPS, USS ANDROMEDA)His character has always been a great officer...now Commander Quest is regaining some of the humanity that the Borg stole. OUTSTANDING NEW PLAYER ====================== Dan Genaw (FCO, ORESTES STATION)- Mr. Genaw is the top-posting new player in Gold Fleet, barely beating out Justin Anderson of DS13. This is an outstanding achievement for Mr. Genaw, as it is often a challenge just to get a new player active and into a unit's storylines at the beginning. Ralph Phillips (COU, USS VALHALLA) Another new arrival to the VALHALLA although you would have never have guessed it. He has brought a very enthusiastic writing style and his posting has been outstanding. Ralph has fit right in, and is already posting with the other members of the crew as though he has been a member for months. Excellent work, and welcome aboard! Federico Colnago (SCI, USS AMBERJACK) for The Greenhorn Award. He's added a great deal to this unit as our new Science Officer. OUTSTANDING UNIT AWARD ====================== USS CIRCE- The CIRCE posted nearly twice as often as the next-closest unit in Gold Fleet, all while tackling large, meta-style posts in creating some of the highest drama in the club. Blue Fleet Outstanding Unit citation this time goes to USS VALHALLA. MOST IMPROVED UNIT AWARD ======================== USS DAEDALUS- The DAEDALUS has emerged as a consistent performer since it joined Gold Fleet, and the work of the command team and crew are to be commended for it.
