A particularly annoying and loud buzz sounded throughout the CEO's quarters. | |||
Quickly, Tarrant jumped out of bed. Since the begining of this mission he had | |||
been a little on edge. An enemy, grandfather said, is never invincible. But | |||
this | |||
plague was a different type of enemy. It wasn't so much the disease itself that | |||
scared him, but the fact that any one of a hundred races would love to have | |||
the Terrelian plague as a biological weapon. | |||

Some time ago he had written a subroutine to awaken him if any of a particular | |||
list of ships or unknowns were picked up on sensors. It rarely was put to use. | |||
