"Just was touring the ship and thought I'd make a brief stop in here to see if all is well." There was a long pause as neither man spoke. "So how'd you like meeting your evil twin?" The captain finally said. | |||
"Well now," Stile blew a willowy smoke ring up towards the ceiling extractor. "I can't say the man was evil, anyone with good lucks such as his can't really be all that nefarious. I sense the man was the product of his environment more than anything else. He seemed decent enough under it all." | |||
Jack nodded. "I got that sense too." He took another sip of his tequila. "Same too for Sean and Gar." | |||
"Perhaps you should review the Great Brig Escape. They seemed to take great glee in gunning their captain down." | |||
"I did." Jack agreed. "But I don't think I'd call it ruthless or over the top. They saw an opportunity and they took it. Oh sure I think they enjoyed it but, they only stunned him. They could easily have killed the man." | |||
"How's the report going cowboy?" Mother called out. "I am NOT going to write another one for you just so you can sit in all there all day and spin out your folksy wisdom." | |||
"She exaggerates." Stile smiled. "So Jack what did you think of your doppleganger?" | |||
"Well if we say that the doctor, Sean and Gar weren't necessaryily evil more the product of their environment, I'd have to say that the captain created the environment that made them evil. Or made them have to do evil things." | |||
"He was quite the piece of work." The doctor agreed. "And I see that worries you." | |||
"Worries me? Why would you say that?" | |||
