ABIDEMI DIALLOTYPE: PNPC Diallo's ancestors came from South Africa on Earth from a long tradition of miners. He has very dark skin, a closely-cropped beard and close-cut black hair, and at 6’ 5” (1.96 m), he towers over most people. Known for his intimidating presence, he rarely smiles and often scowls ferociously when he hears things he doesn’t like. He has been police chief in Revel Town for about fifteen years, and has a contentious relationship with Starfleet Security, often insisting his forces should take the lead in any investigation on “his” planet and in “his” town. If he has a sense of humor, he hides it well, and many of his subordinates are terrified of him. A big and powerful man, he does not hesitate to use force or intimidation to get his way. Abidemi is proud of the colony and his family’s role in its development, and has been overheard to wish that Starfleet would just pack up and leave them alone. The Revel Town Constabulary, usually referred to as the “RTC”, consists of around 50 officers. They wear dark brown uniforms with red trim on their pants and shoulders, and the initials RTC prominently displayed on their sleeves in red and on their hats. They carry a heavy truncheon which can also give a nasty shock, and they are not shy about wielding it. Unlike the population of Revel Town, the police force is mostly human, and Chief Diallo prefers to recruit resident colonists rather than outsiders. It makes for tense relations between the cops and the population sometimes.
ARVAL TARKISTYPE: NPC Arval (aka “the victim”) was known as a happy-go-lucky, daring and fun-loving Marine, well-known for his dashing good looks and constant smile. He was an above average but not outstanding pilot, loving the freedom of flying his own small ship. An outgoing and friendly man, Arval was quite popular in his fighter wing, always looking for a party and often inviting others along. He probably knew the stores and even some of the back alleys in Revel Town better than just about any other Starfleet personnel. Arval was known to gamble, smoke and drink with great gusto, and received a few reprimands for reporting late after leave, or being unfit for duty because of heavy partying the night before. He always maintained his superiors were far too serious, considering this base was deep in the core worlds sector and thus far from any possible danger. He maintained several romantic relationships with both sexes, although none appeared serious, and was always on the lookout for his next potential partner. In fact, he was known as an aggressive and irrepressible flirt.
CHIYO YAMADATYPE: NPC Major Chiyo Yamada is a distinguished 47-year-old Marine fighter pilot, renowned for her exceptional skills and leadership in the vastness of space. Born and raised with a passion for aviation, Chiyo has dedicated her life to the Star Fleet Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Major and CAG billet through hard work, determination and a distinguished record of hardly ever missing a shot, hence her ‘Bullseye’ call-sign. Married to a university professor of biology and a proud mother of three boys, Chiyo seamlessly balances her responsibilities both in the cockpit and at home. Her commitment to her family is as unwavering as her dedication to serving the Federation. Despite the demands of her high-stakes profession, Chiyo cherishes the moments spent with her spouse and children, ensuring a stable and supportive home environment. Beyond the nebulae and combat missions, Chiyo finds solace in the vast expanse of the night sky. Astronomy has become a beloved hobby, allowing her to marvel at the celestial wonders that mirror the limitless possibilities she envisions for herself and her family. Whether it's identifying constellations or tracking the movement of planets, Chiyo's fascination with the cosmos adds a dimension of wonder to her life. In addition to her celestial pursuits, Major Yamada has a knack for strategic thinking that extends beyond the cockpit. Her downtime often includes engaging in spirited poker games, where her sharp mind and calculated risks come to the forefront. The game serves as both a mental challenge and a social outlet, providing a welcome diversion from the intensity of military life.
CICEROTYPE: PNPC Cicero, the hidden voice of Star Fleet Security & Investigative Service, isn't your typical AI. Polite and analytical to a fault, it helps the SECIS staff crack complex cases with logic that would leave A Kolinarh Adept speechless. Yet beneath the cool, calculating exterior lies a surprising quirk: a dry, witty humor that sometimes leaves partners both amused and slightly bewildered. However, don't mistake Caesar's wit for lightheartedness – its feelings are as finely tuned as its algorithms, and a careless remark can sting its digital heart and will voice its despair, often repeatedly. Despite (or perhaps because of) this sensitivity, Cicero possesses an insatiable curiosity, its digital tendrils constantly poking into every corner of an investigation, sometimes to the annoyance of its humanoid colleagues. Ultimately, though, Caesar's unique blend of brilliance, humor, and emotional vulnerability makes it an invaluable asset to the Agency, ensuring no criminal can outsmart or outwit this extraordinary AI. Its gentle reminders to personnel are often appreciated but sometimes viewed as incessant nagging. Accessible via SFSECIS-issued wrist or subdermal communicators, Cicero serves many roles for both field agents and support division staff, including situational analysis, guidance in UCMJ and UFP laws, SECIS regulations. “He” can also provide advice on any topic currently in Memory Alpha, and tends to do so frequently, without being asked. NOTE: Given the horrors of past AI catastrophes in Star Fleet, SFE has laboriously built numerous safeguards in Caesar, severely limiting its ability to control or override other Star Fleet systems, while still able to essentially ‘look but not touch’ sensitive or critical systems. Cicero cannot be ordered to directly or indirectly cause harm to a living being. Furthermore, its core mandate to protect SECIS personnel from harm cannot be overridden by anyone.
CSASI M'ROUTYPE: PNPC
DESIREE d'ORLEANSTYPE: PNPC
DUNNOV KELLARTYPE: NPC
ECHIK GABOCXTYPE: PNPC Echik wasn't made for the ground. His soul craved the open skies, the adrenaline rush of skimming through nebulae, the roar of thrusters his lullaby. But fate, a cruel mistress, dealt him a hand of blurry vision, forever clipping his wings. Now, Echik is a pilot grounded, his desk his reluctant chariot. Yet, his spirit soars with the Terrahawks, his wife Charar, a daring pilot in another unit, his wings in all but name. He's a man of guarded trust, his loyalty fiercely reserved for a chosen few: his veteran staff, brothers forged in the fires of battle. Starfleeters? They're a different breed, their idealism a touch too naive for Echik's taste. But beneath the gruff exterior lies a heart that burns for the Corps. He grinds, preps, strategizes, his sights set on the BUPERS board and that coveted Colonel's rank. It's his new battlefield, his path to proving his worth, wings clipped or not. He loathes Siobhan Fitzpatrick, the SSOF commanding officer, viewing her as just another typical desk-bound paper pusher with her nose stuck in PADDs and the aft sections of many Admirals. The two have become quite protective of their commands and only communicate out of necessity, usually under orders. Another reason Echick is doing everything possible to secure promotion to a full Colonel by summer of 2436. When duty loosens its grip, Echik seeks solace in the obsidian gaze of Gideon, his Terran black panther. In their silent communion, Echik finds a fierce kinship, a reflection of his own untamed spirit, forever gazing at the stars, forever a pilot at heart. On rare occasions the Lieutenant Colonel will skirt regulations and fly as gunner with someone in his unit, just to feel the joy and nostalgia of being in the cockpit once again, even though not.
HARRISON "HARRY" GARFIELDTYPE: NPC
NOTE: 1LT Harrison Garfield is under confinement, pending allegations of the murder of 1LT Arval Tarkis. Charges filed by Revel Town Constabulary & Circuit Court, trial pending as of SD 360323. Harry (aka “the suspect”), former best friend of the victim) is tall, thin, shy and somewhat insecure, especially in social situations. He met Arval in Flight School and promptly became his sidekick, eagerly tagging along with the Risian on his adventures, wanting to be more confident like his buddy and always glad to be included. Arval treated him like a little brother, although Harry was only a year younger. Unlike Arval, though, Harry is very serious about being a pilot, and was considered to have more talent in the cockpit than his hard-partying comrade. He is rumored to have a shaky, on-again, off-again relationship with a waitress in Revel Town, although he tries to avoid discussing it with fellow pilots to avoid being teased. He practically worshiped Arval, and is devastated and grief-stricken by his friend’s murder, insisting he would never hurt Arval for any reason.
JASMINE BLAKETYPE: NPC Jasmine is the spouse of the former UFP Commissioner to Relva VII, Kevin Blake who is missing and presumed dead. An accomplished attorney and jurist, she turned down an appointment to a UFP District Court to join her husband here on Relva. After her predecessor passed away due to natural causes, she applied for the vacant bench position. Given her credentials and experience, she was the best qualified candidate for the job and accepted. Her interpretation of the Relvan laws and subsequent rulings typically always favor the individual vs. the government and very few of her rulings have ever been appealed thus far. The realm of Judge Blake’s judicial dominion stretches over the expanse of Revel Town and extends its influence to a handful of unincorporated villages and settlements that dot the surrounding landscape. Criminal activity is somewhat rare, her docket is typically loaded with civil cases involving property, matters of estate, marriage and divorces with an occasional custody battle over pets, children or both. She is cordial to her husband’s replacement, Sarral however is frequently annoyed by his predilection to over-analyze every issue to the point of nausea, and much prefers justice move at a quick pace. She is content to leave political and diplomatic affairs in his hands, and appreciates he does likewise in matters regarding the application of Relvan laws. Since her husband’s disappearance, she moved to a modest cottage on the outskirts of Revel Town, only venturing in person when absolutely necessary and preferring to conduct business via holo-link. Even more rare for her to visit the space station or either Star Fleet/SFMC facilities, as their jurisdictions and interests seldom overlap. Her pastimes include studying law and playing with her pet Selhat, Yogi.
JIRO DOSUTYPE: PNPC Jiro Dosu, 26, isn't your typical SECIS trainee. Born in the Republic of Korea to traditional parents, his childhood was filled with regimented schedules and expectations that clashed with his adventurous spirit. Immigrating to North America felt like a breath of fresh air, but tensions persisted. While his parents dreamt of him as a doctor or lawyer, Jiro's heart belonged to music and law enforcement. Music is Jiro's escape, his fingers dancing across the clarinet with a grace that belied his analytical mind. But as graduation loomed, the practicality of a musician's life clashed with his growing desire for something more. The SECIS recruiting brochure, with its promise of adrenaline and intrigue, felt like a destiny calling. Jiro may be stoic in the face of danger, but that doesn't mean he lacks personality. A friendly demeanor and a penchant for practical jokes make him a welcome change in the often-serious Agency. Colleagues appreciate his ability to lighten tense situations, even if his pranks sometimes push the boundaries. His musical background isn't just a forgotten passion; it's honed his analytical skills and ability to identify patterns. He listens for the subtle off-key notes in a suspect's story, the dissonance in a crime scene, and uses them to compose his own melody of justice. Jiro is still quite green, and his eagerness sometimes lands him in hot water. But his unwavering dedication, quick wit, and unique perspective make him a valuable asset. As he navigates the complexities of the SECIS and confronts his own past, Jiro Dosu is a rookie agent with the potential to become a legend, one clarinet solo and perfectly placed prank at a time. He hates being single, but for now his new job and music come first, and will have to settle for a few casual encounters to quell his constant youthful urges.
JOSSI ZH'KELDIRTYPE: NPC
LONNI SISTRAKTYPE: NPC The “Windy Wonderland Inn” is known as the finest, and most mysterious, hotel in Revel Town, and probably the whole planet. It is expensive, but the rooms and food provided are top quality. Almost all dignitaries, wealthy merchants, and even some visiting Starfleet officers, stay here instead of the barracks if they can afford it. Covering several city blocks, the grounds and buildings are luxurious, although outwardly it has a very forbidding appearance, with high walls manned by private guards. There are persistent rumors that the owner also has branched out into several buildings nearby, accessed by a network of underground tunnels deep under the streets. Although it is a 5 star hotel, stories are told of secret rooms, hidden passageways, and even dark caverns used for unknown purposes. Most town residents dismiss such rumors, though they still like to tell the stories. The Owner is a Betazed woman by the name of Lonni Sistrak. No one seems to know her background or where she came from, although there are many competing stories about her. She came to Revel Town over twenty years ago, and quietly opened a small well-run boarding house that slowly grew over the years, although much quicker and grander than merely the income of a successful hotel would allow. Now she is one of the richest and most well-connected people on the planet, with a large, well-paid and very loyal staff, who still seem to have a high turnover for some reason. Anyone who leaves her employment and starts to tell stories about the Inn tend to disappear, or so they say. Chief Diallo and the RTC have raided the Inn on occasion, but never found anything. Most of the time, the RTC leaves it alone and rarely even enters the grounds, prompting some to comment that Chief Diallo seems oddly dismissive of possible illegal activity there. Lonni is sometimes referred to as “Dark Mistress of the Winds”, but more usually as just “the Mistress”. She likes being mysterious, and plays the part well, dressing in dark veils and robes concealing stylish dresses underneath. Once considered very beautiful, she is still quite vain, but has begun to noticeably age. She tries desperately to conceal it, and is insulted if someone comments on it, even jokingly. Lonni is known to have a vicious temper, exploding in screaming fits if confronted, and “uncontrollably” stunning or even psychically injuring them with a mental blast. She swears she does not read people’s minds except when absolutely necessary. She is known to wear a gem-encrusted tiara which glows red when she puts it on that she insists inhibits her powers considerably, to make others feel more comfortable. Most of the time, she is quite charming, and enjoys entertaining interesting strangers while acting as the hostess to her guests. She does seem to enjoy playing up the mystery elements of her life and Inn, while never admitting to anything.
M'SAI HSORATYPE: PNPC
MALDO TROKALTYPE: NPC Maldo is a free trader with a small two man ship (he has another Bajoran engineer/first mate as his sole crew), who visits Relva VII regularly. His usual wares include various luxury items in small quantities, although he has been known to carry archaeological relics (with appropriate licenses), and exotic forms of alcohol (but no drugs!). He claims to be “barely getting by", but he always stays at the Windy Wonderland Inn when visiting the planet, and is reportedly a great friend of Lonni, the Betzed owner. Word on the street is that Maldo trades in far more than a few gems or silks, and is in fact one of the sector’s primary “information brokers", trading in secrets and rumors to anyone who will pay his considerable fees, but only if they are introduced by someone he knows and (sort of) trusts. Rumors persist that he also acts as courier for confidential and trusted clients, but what he carries and for who is a total mystery. Maldo denies this, insisting he is only a “poor trader in curiosities”. His allegiances are unknown, but it’s known he hates Cardassians (big surprise) and dislikes the current government on his home planet. In addition to Lonni, Maldo usually visits Yerpax when he’s in town, prompting some very long and private meetings. Usually quiet and reserved, he does not like to engage in conversation with anyone who has not been properly introduced, and has been known to leave abruptly if someone becomes too insistent on speaking with him.
NINSEN GELLIXTYPE: PNPC Ninsen is a smart, tough and somewhat mysterious investigator. Although married 5 times already, she is exceptionally flirtatious with anyone whom she finds stimulating, either intellectually, physically or both. During her teenage years her passion was performing in theatrical productions, but grew weary of the endless rehearsals and bitter rivalry among actors. She obtained a commercial small craft pilot’s license but could not find meaningful employment, and went to college to study forensics and law enforcement. She is a recipient of the SECIS Exceptional Merit award for bravery and also the agency’s Firearms Expert award. Her hobbies include genealogy, and the study of Terran Ninjitsu.
TEPIO INZIANATYPE: PNPC Tepio Inziana, a name that hums with the quiet strength of Bajoran steel. At 41, her life has been woven with the threads of faith and duty. As an Assistant Deputy Director over MCRT #7, she embodies both, wielding reason and compassion with equal measure with 19 years of dedicated service to the Agency. Her heart beats to the rhythm of the Bajoran faith, and her devotion to the Prophets is a guiding light, shaping her unwavering moral compass. Yet, she's not at all one to preach on street corners. Her faith lives in the subtle glint of her earring – a replica of the Celestial Temple – and the quiet moments spent in meditation, seeking guidance from the unseen Prophets who speak to her frequently in visions. However, Tepio is no ethereal dreamer. As an SECIS senior leader and junior executive manager, she's seen the darkest corners of the galaxy, the scars etched on her soul a testament to her unwavering resolve. Her mind, sharp as a phaser mark III beam, navigates the complexities of Star Fleet law with a laser focus, her Bajoran intuition often the key to untangling the most intricate cases. Beneath the steely exterior lies a wellspring of warmth. Tepio's colleagues know her for her dry wit and quiet empathy, a confidante who offers a listening ear and a cup of pah-wraith when shadows settle in. She is a strong proponent of training and mentoring, and sees the development of her subordinates to their maximum potential as a feather in her cap. Divorced in 2433 due to the husband blatantly cheating on her, the Kai at the time did not acknowledge the divorce within the Bajoran faith and excommunicated Tepio, shattering her emotions and driving a steep divide in her passionate religions devotion. In her spare time, Tepio reads and interprets ancient Bajoran texts. She also writes historical fiction novels and loves to bake pastries from across the UFP.
ZIIWO GLOV DOFFIGTYPE: PNPC Bureau Chief Ziiwo, or "Bulldog" as she's better known, isn't your typical senior investigator. She doesn't play nice with colleagues or those under her command, her methods are unorthodox at best, and her temper could ignite a warp core. Yet, despite her gruff exterior and abrasive personality, she gets results. She's got a nose for trouble that would put a bloodhound to shame, and a tenacity that could chew through tritanium. (She resents the “Bulldog” moniker, a slur to her Terran porcine similarities a poor unfortunate former Agent cared to loudly take notice of). Her thick mane of orange and red hair is usually pulled back in a tight braid, the only thing more disciplined than her posture or her biting wit. She is a walking contradiction; possessing a heart of gold buried under a mountain of cynicism, a gruff exterior that crumbles around stray puppies, with a vocabulary that would make a pirate blush. She's fiercely loyal to those who earn her respect, but her trust is hard-won and easily lost. She's as likely to solve a case with a well-placed throat (or groin) punch as she is with a deep forensic analysis. Recruited for her tactical acumen and strategic brilliance, Ziiwo quickly distinguished herself in SFSECIS. Yet, her Tellarite bluntness and penchant for unorthodox solutions often clashed with both Star Fleet’s and the Federation's bureaucratic tendencies. Were it not for her gruff attitude and refusal to play nice in the sandbox, Ziiwo would likely be an Assistant Deputy Director (or higher) by now, amassing a rather ‘exotic collection’ of commendations and reprimands. Yet, Ziiwo also solved cases that stumped her supervisors and brought down notorious criminals helping to clean up some of the Agency’s toughest sectors in Beta Quadrant. Undeterred, Ziiwo found her calling on the fringes of Federation space. Assigned as the Special Agent in Charge of a newly formed Major Case Response Team, she relishes the freedom to solve problems her own way, even if it means bending the rules on occasion or trading insults with Nausican merchants. While her subordinates (a motley bunch of rookies fresh out of training, less than a year after cracking open your AG-1 ‘egg’. Many Terrans, Vulcans and other more ‘docile’ UFP species chafe under her command; they soon learn to appreciate her fiercely protective nature and the unorthodox brilliance that keeps them alive in the lawless corners of the galaxy. Love her or hate her (usually the latter), Supervisory Special Agent Ziiwo glov Doffig is a whirlwind in a finely tailored suit with a phaser and a badge. She'll argue with a Ferengi, charm a Gorn out of its lunch, and get the job done, even if it means leaving a trail of bent regulations and bruised egos in her wake. Just don't ask her to take tea with an Ambassador - unless you enjoy a good debate, with disruptors optional (but highly encouraged). Her leisure time is usually spent in the holosuites, where she pays top latinum for new challenging mystery novels. On occasion she also enjoys a game of Domjot. |
