Born the Middle child and only daughter to Logan and Ilane Gates
Rourke. Alexa grew up amid two brothers, in a somewhat sheltered home
life on Venus. Logan was a abrasive and sometimes cocky pilot assigned
to Space Station Berbar 7, near the Klingon border, when he met his
wife. Ilane Gates was traveling through the station, on her way back
to Earth, after a extended conference for the company that she worked.
After the wedding, the family settled on Earth until Kyle was born,
then they moved to Venus when Logan was offered a position at a
Starbase colony in New Vienna, Venus.


Lent to being tom-boyish, despite the Orion in her blood, Alexa worked

remain on her record.

grief in her work, by presenting even more distinguished service to
her ship, she tossed herself so fully into the assignments; nothing
else mattered to her. Her work became her life.
 
This unrelenting ethic, resulted in a call from Starfleet Intel, her
work had caught their interest. She was recalled and enrolled in SFI
school for the next three years. There, additional training was given
and by the time she graduated she was ready to take on the challenges
that being a SFIA granted.
 
Upon completion of this a new assignment awaited for her. The USS
Navicula, under the direction of Captain Jacob Sterling, the young
woman would serve as a Junior Communication Analysist. Alexa strove to
keep herself distant from most people, yet maintained a friendly
exterior. Still she had not forgotten the loss of Paul Donovan from
her life, she used it to do her best, to make that extra effort.
