Fobok started working on the cure, assisted by Maril and the exobiologist. | |||
This was the first time people's lives had depended on his extra training at | |||
Starfleet Medical. Now he was extremely glad he had taken it. The | |||
continued working. | |||

Fobok looked over what they had done, "Well, this looks like it, sir." | |||
Maril nodded and extended his arm as Fobok set up the hypo spray. Fobok | |||
noticed this, "Sir, you should not risk your life like this. If I made any | |||
mistake in my calculations, this will speed up the virus in the subject's | |||
body. I shall test it myself." | |||
Before anybody could argue, Fobok injected the cure into himself. He | |||
immeditaely fell to the floor in pain. It hadn't worked. Now he was down | |||
to about one day to live. He tried to speak, but his lungs felt like they | |||
were filled with acid. | |||
Maril started to help Fobok, but realized it wouldn't be much good if he | |||
couldn't find a cure. He got to work.. | |||
