They own and operate a large hydroponics facility based out of
Berlin, Germany.  His brother and sister both work the family farm. 
Kristof had a desire to see more of space and find out what more he
could do besides farming.  He finds it in the marines.  His private
nature dictates that he does not brag about the numerous
qualifications he obtains for himself.  He has a drive to be the
best, strongest, and smartest person he can be.  Something akin to
the muscle sport shuttle craft that has a calm exterior belying the
power within.  He models the Marine corps motto in every sense of the
words: loyal, honor bound, relentless, and fearsome.
