Background: Although of human heritage, Samuel was born among the stars as
were so many Starfleet staff offspring. Place of birth: Station K-37
Brandenburg sector. Home schooled and distance educated via sub space computer
links through grade 12, initially sent to the Starfleet Academy Preparatory
School, West Point, New York, Earth and after eighteen months to Starfleet
Academy where he majored in Operations and minored in Sciences. He played no
organized sports and had few friends among his classmates.

Character traits/personality: Samuel’s main fault is he is by the book. He has
memorized every manual, text and article and adheres to what he has read and
learned without deviation. He has an overly fantasized and ideal perception of
how to command, not realizing that most of his previous postings have survived
despite him rather than because of him. His ambitions are few. He has five
years more before he can retire from Starfleet with a full pension and he
intends to leave exactly five years and thirty days from now. He has no
annoyances; rather his colleagues find him to be the annoyance. His
psychological profile lists him as capable, and satisfactory in performance,
making him promotable; however, it is noted that he fancies himself a
swashbuckling type in the style of George Armstrong Custer, George Patton and
James T. Kirk but lacks the leadership charisma of all of his idols.
