Biography
Qa’Reth Was born on Kessik IV In 2403 To Captain Caddok and his wife Lady Kalas of the house of Nan’Vek. The House of Nan'Vek was considered peaceful to the Federation. They established a complex or a Consulate on Kessik IV for the Klingons to have diplomatic ties to the Federation. His father Caddok was a Respected Member of the Klingon Defense Force Commanding the IKS Hegh'ta, a Vor'Cha Class Heavy Cruiser. As a Child, Qa’Reth attended the Klingon Warrior Academy, a prestigious School For children of Defense Force Officers.
At the Age of 17 Earth Years, Qa’Reth joined his father for a graduation cruise before entering into the Klingon Defense Force. During the Cruise the Hegh'ta came under attack from an unknown attacker, the Hegh'ta was unable to issue a distress call to request reinforcements. Qa’Reth was the youngest member of the ship's company and therefore inexperienced in combat but as any Klingon he yearned for Battle.
However, during the battle Captain Caddok forced his son into an escape pod with records of the Battle and a warning for the Empire. Qa'Reth arrived on Qo'noS learning of his father's dishonor he intended to clear his father's name and the stench of dishonor. He was led to believe the warning was a potential civil war which leader turned out to be true, the Klingon Confederation & the Klingon Empire were at best a cold war between the two. He Brought forth evidence to be presented to the High Council.
However, before the Rite of Vengeance could be carried out his he was nearly killed in a blind alley in the first city, Qa’Reth's evidence clearing his father had been stolen from him. The Klingon Ambassador to the Federation, a loyal friend of Caddock took Qa’Reth in and smuggled him out knowing that should Qa’Reth be found alive, it would plunge the Empire into War.
The Ambassador had covertly sought asylum for Qa' Reth which was granted. Star Fleet sent the Federation starship USS STORM to retrieve Qa'Reth.
After Qa’Reth came to the crew of the USS STORM and particularly the first officer impressed Qa’Reth wishing to find out more about Star Fleet and its primary goals he requested to enter Star Fleet, he was sponsored by Captain Sorrel and the First Officer, Commander James Cross.
Knowing that he had been granted asylum Qa’Reth was accepted into Star Fleet Academy where he majored in Security & Tactical Operations finding he had a natural gift of both. He was quite popular with his fellow Cadets and often was the first to stand up to any kind of bullying. Particularly against any of his friends.
Crimes against Fellow Cadets on Campus fell during Qa’Reth's four years at the Academy.
