B. Background Summary:
----------------------

John  James Kirk  was born on February 14th, 2388 on Bajor in 
the City of Ashalla in the Dakhur Province.  He is fifth cousins 
once removed from another famous Kirk, Admiral Alexandra Kirk, 
currently Chief of Starfleet Operations.  Admiral Kirk and He 
are distantly related to another legendary man, James T. Kirk.

John who goes by the nickname of Jack had always known there was
something different about him. Unlike his  half siblings,
brother Daniel and Sister Christine, Jack always did things on
the edge. As a Boy, Jack would often go exploring around the
mountains or the wilderness areas near their Bajoran Home.

Jack's parents were often never home due to Catherine's status
as Special Federation Envoy, and his father's work as a civilian
engineer for the Opaka Shipyards.  When Jack was five years old
his parents were killed in an accident in B'Halla the ancient
Bajoran City.  Jack was left an orphan and was raised by Bajoran
Monks.    When John was of age he  was given a  rare treasure
unlike any other, he had an Orb experience.

The Orb revealed his true identity, he then embarked on a
spiritual Journey to find himself. Eventually he found himself
on Earth, had partook the Starfleet Academy Entrance Exam.  That
Fall Kirk entered Starfleet Academy, it was also here he
learnged of his family lineage.

Kirk was like his legendary distant uncle, constantly harassed 
but unlike his uncle whom had a singular tormentor, Jack had a 
group of boys who constantly irritated him and harassed him 
believing the Legend of Kirk had gotten him into Starfleet 
rather than on merit.

Towards the end of his freshman year, the constant harassment 
had come to a head at the Warp Core Club,  a place of relaxation 
that many Cadets frequented after hours.   Kirk's tormentors, a 
group of elite cadets known as Omega Squadron were picking on a 
fellow Freshman Cadet of Kirk's known as Padar, a youthful 
Ferengi.  Jack decided to intervene.

At first Jack had convinced the members of Omega Squadron that 
he was joining them in the hazing, but his true intentions were 
known when he managed to get Padar to safety. A Fight ensued, 
Kirk nor the Omega Squadron cadets could recall who threw the 
first punch, but all including Padar admitted Kirk threw the 
last one.  Kirk was arrested by Starfleet Security.

Hauled in before a Cadet Review board testimonies by the Omega 
Squadron had painted a Picture of Kirk's attitude and temper, 
some often pointing out that Kirk had thrown the first punch 
which was not backed up by forensic evidence.  When confronted 
on the Witness stand Kirk admitted to fighting, a charge that 
could cashier him out of Starfleet.  However, Kirk, also 
admitted to another fault of his.  Kirk pointed out correctly 
that Starfleet for all its teachings, must rely on judgement of 
those that wear the uniform.  It was human nature to stand up 
for those that cannot stand up for themselves. If being punished 
for standing up for the principles that built the Federation, 
then the uniform had no meaning especially for standing up for 
those that were not of Human such as Padar, a Ferengi.

Cadet Kirk was in the end given a formal reprimand on his record 
after other witnesses came forward confessing to being bullied 
by the Omega Members, Kirk also recieved a commendation for good 
conduct during the brawl.  The Omega Squadron Members all had 
their academic credentials for the year suspended, and forced to 
repeat the year, the senior members of the Squadron voluntarily 
resigned from the Academy including the man that had personally 
tormented Kirk, a Klingon named Seral.

Kirk's second reprimand happend when he went UA following 
evidence that his Parents may have been murdered, to this day 
the case is still ongoing.  He returned after two weeks having 
convinced the Bajoran Authorities to reopen the accident case. 

Upon Graduation of Starfleet Academy Kirk was promoted to 
Ensign, and assigned as helm officer aboard the USS Sir Francis 
Drake NCC-31826. 


C. Personality Summary:

John Or Jack as he prefers to be called is a forceful, no-
nonsense Starfleet Officer.  He carries himself with a military 
bearing and in public appears to be the very model of a 
competent, decisive, and professional. He also has a jovial, 
upbeat personality which tends to  inspire fierce loyalty in his 
subordinates.

a DELTA FLYER type shuttle.

VI. Recent Fitness Reports

John Kirk is a outstanding Officer and even equally outstanding 
human.  I have not served with many humans in my lifetime but 
Lieutenant Commander Kirk  has shown me that humans can be 
compassionate and trustworthy.  Mr. Kirk's ethics and sense of 
duty have left me at times questioning my own. I was glad to 
have had him serve at my side he has taught me the true value of 
Honor.

VIII. Current Recreational Interests

Off Duty Kirk can be found in either the ship's mess hall, or 
doing some mountain climbing or fishing within the holodeck. He 
does occasionally play sports in the holodeck or watches old 
games of Basketball.

IX. Psychological Report.
=============================

John J. Kirk has had trouble forming lasting relationships 
throughout his life. At the age ten, his parents were killed in 
an accident in B'Halla during an archeological excavation. His 
mother was the Federation Ambassador to Bajor and she was 
touring the ruins, his father was an engineer who was repairing 
some equipment for the civilian archeological team.

Following their funeral John at five years old was orphaned and 
alone. He was taken in by the Ashalla Monastery Monks, who 
raised him since no other living relative was willing to claim 
him.

They had  taught him not only Bajoran values, but the values his 
parents held dear.  He has virtually no connection to his 
siblings and considers them having betrayed their parents for 
running away.  When he became of age, John sought out the one 
place his family has always found home, Starfleet.

Due to Mr. Kirk's traumatic experience in life, he is wary of 
comittment to women, yes he's had relationships with them, but 
fear of loss prevents it from reaching a point where it could 
lead to Marriage. 

On Duty, Kirk is a highly professional, highly disciplined 
officer, he is able to work independently and within the team 
concept of working together within Starfleet. He is also on the 
path of one day becoming a Starfleet Captain... the human 
concept of the loneliest job in the Fleet.
