Zane entered the bridge with great anticipation. Three days of
monotonous travel had taken its toll and he was thankful they had finally
arrived. He noticed that all the senior officers who had ALPHA watch were
already at their stations. It seemed they too were looking forward to the
next FEYNMAN adventure.
"We're approaching the Coalsack's perimeter." The FCO told him.
"Slow to impulse. And hold at 10,000km."
"Aye sir." Jerran replied.
"What's behind there, lieLutenant?"
"Sensors are having trouble penetrating the 'wall'." The OPS
officer replied as her fingers flew across her board.
"Lt Meleah?" Zane asked.
"One moment sir." The new SCI, sitting at the bridge science
station began to fine tune the DELPHI Array. She had expected such a
problem and had already completed modifications.
"Begining to receive some information now sir...." As Jenn began
to relay the information to the rest of the bridge, Zane pulled up her
diosplays on his arm console. It didn't look very inviting.
"Bridge to engineering."
[Koreth here.]
"Mr. Koreth are the two communication relay pods ready for
launch?"
[Yes sir. We're locked and loaded.]
After the briefing the Admiral had sent out they had taken some
extra precautions one of which was to adjust two probes to become enhanced
communications relays. It had been decided that the FEYNMAN, on its
own would most likely lose contact with EPSILON after entering the sack
and that these two probes would, hopefully, allieviate this. The first
would be deployed here, just outside the sack and was essentially a
standard communications relay. The second would be deployed just inside
the sack. When discussing the idea the new SCI had suggested that the
storms and their resulting currents and eddies would most likely send the
relay thousands of kilometres away from its intended station thus negating
its effects. As a solution, Lt. Koreth had, with a little improvisation,
attached a small computer and engine to the probe which would keep it with
100km of its desired position.
"Ensign Allard deploy probe 1."
"Probe one away."
"Put me on ship wide Ensign."
"Aye sir."
"Attention all hands, this is the Captain. In a few moments we
will be entering the Coalsack. As I'm sure you are all aware it is a most
uninviting place. While the FEYNMAN is well suited to this environment we
can expect to be jostled around somewhat, especially upon entry. So grab
something solid and hold on. See you on the other side. Zane out." He
turned to face Maril. "Here we go."
"Raise shields and go to yellow alert." The first officer
ordered.
"Mr. Jerran take us in 1/4 impulse."

"We've just received word from TYPHOON sir, FEYNMAN has
just entered the 'sack at position L-357."
"Helm set course for the TYPHOON, warp 1. Signal the ARGONAUT and
the ROLLING THUNDER to join us there."
"Sensors have picked up a small probe left just outside the
'sack."
"A communications relay?" Tremaine asked.
"Think so." His exec replied.
"Can we access it?"
"Already working on it."
"Excellent." He leaned back in his chair smiling. Everything was
proceeding to plan. In a few days they would have the information they
needed and in a few days more they'd be heroes. Pity that the FEYNMAN
might have to be 'removed'. The thought of firing on Starfleet officers
was not a pleasant one. Still, it was officers like them, so officious
and rigid that had put him and his crew in the position they were now in.
But not for long. His sources at Starfleet Command had told him that 5
new ships were being readied for launch. He meant to have one.

Well let this wooden writing be a lesson to those of you who get up early
and try to be creative before coffee. Knew a few people going to the
Olympics and I was silly enough to stay up and watch the opening
ceremonies in the hopes of seeing them...my wife saw one.
Melanie/Mike Dailey: Please note mission dates. The last few before this
one took place on or about MD:1.1400. This one is MD:4.0600, almost 3
days later. So we can assume that nothing of major import happened during
that time. However, any backposts such as Maril meeting Meleah would now
be out of sinc so the MD tells us right away where the post fits in to the
greater story-line. (Am I helping or confusing...I can smell the coffee
its almost done!)
Mike Dailey:I received a NRPG from you saying Here is my security
rostor...but there was no security roster!

USS ARGONAUT -AGAMEMNON Class<br>
