This is an attempt to bring a lot of information together in a very condensed form, so it is somewhat technical. I have attempted to keep it as simple as possible, however. It is not Star Trek canon, but it is based on an expanded version of it used in the Alt.StarFleet.RPG (ASR) shared-fiction writing and role-playing game.
