+Wick's parents were guest workers in the New Republic of South Africa coming
+from their native Korea to work  in the retail shops the Republic had licensed
+within its cities. Wick's father was killed and her mother raped during the anti
+goverment riots of 2237. Wick was born in 2238 as a result of that unwanted
+encounter. She was immediately placed in a state orphanage, where at the age
+of three she was found and adopted by an American couple Chester and Rodalee
+Manchester.
