Wick's parents were guest workers in the New Republic of South Africa coming
from their native Korea to work  in the retail shops the Republic had licensed
within its cities. Wick's father was killed and her mother raped during the anti
goverment riots of 2237. Wick was born in 2238 as a result of that unwanted
encounter. She was immediately placed in a state orphanage, where at the age
of three she was found and adopted by an American couple Chester and Rodalee
Manchester.
Wick grew up outside of the Washington/Baltimore megacity complex and
often visited her adopted father at his place of work, the Starfleet Security School,
Annapolis, Md.  Wick enlisted in Starfleet at the age of nineteen. She is adept at
shorthand in four off earth languages, keyboards extremely fast and can keep
electronic files in order in a way Astor cannot.

Nick Caputo has 32 years service. Caputo transferred into Starfleet from
the Colonial Constabulary Force. He had served for ten years on Ios Four,
first as a beat constable and then as a detective, when Starfleet pulled
him in to do undercover work rooting out smuggling operations in auxiliary
vessels plying the trade routes between colonies. He had cracked a case
involving minor players in the organization on Ios Four, knew the culture
of the smuggling ring and maintaining the cover he'd established in that
operation, went into space chasing the ring back to its source. 
He spent fifteen years in Criminal Investigative services. Seven years in
that undercover operation countering the use of Starfleet auxiliary vessels
in a smuggling operation. The eight other years had been spent in
counter-insurgency work on three different colonial worlds. Two stints
teaching at the Starfleet Security School were broken by tours doing
background investigations for cadet candidates for Starfleet Academy
and working a desk job at Starfleet headquarters on the Starfleet Chief
of Security's staff. Although no stranger to years in space, Nick was a
first timer serving on a Starship, on the job and in uniform.

details aboard Constellation. His crews clean the companionways, maintain
the restrooms, kitchens and common areas of the ship and per a chit system,
