Nick Caputo, has 32 years service. Caputo transferred into Starfleet from | |||
the Colonial Constabulary Force. He had served for ten years on Ios Four | |||
first as a beat constable and then as a detective, when Starfleet pulled | |||
him in to do undercover work rooting out smuggling operations in auxiliary | |||
vessels plying the trade routes between colonies. He had cracked a case | |||
involving minor players in the organization on Ios Four, knew the culture | |||
of the smuggling ring and maintaining the cover he'd established in that | |||
operation, went into space chasing the ring back to its source. | |||
He spent fifteen years in Criminal Investigative services. Seven years in | |||
that undercover operation countering the use of Starfleet auxiliary vessels | |||
in a smuggling operation. The eight other years had been spent in | |||
counter-insurgency work on three different colonial worlds. Two stints | |||
teaching at the Starfleet Security School were broken by tours doing | |||
background investigations for cadet candidates for Starfleet Academy | |||
and working a desk job at Starfleet headquarters on the Starfleet Chief | |||
of Security's staff. Although no stranger to years in space, Nick was a | |||
first timer serving on a Starship, on the job and in uniform. | |||
