Located spinward of the Sol System, Kansashun Colony is located midway between SB SARRENTO and Deep Space Four. Kansashun Colony is a Federation Colony and home headquarters of the Biaje Cartel, a civilian transportation enterprise run by its CEO Elmas Biaje. In 2418, over a one month period, the Colony was bombarded from space with asteroids mined from a field designated as 2317 Minos, three light years from the Colony. The impacts significantly affected property owned and operated by Elmas Biaje, and in the aftermath, the colonial Governor was kidnapped, along with the Captain of '''USS KRONSHTADT''', Commander Fenton McCracken. Star Fleet working with the local authorities were able to discover the governor and captain had been buried alive and made every effort to rescue them.
