The symbology of the patch embodies much of Blue Fleet's history. She was the first fleet to be created as an administrative unit in ASR. The "Gold Fleet," although seldom named as such, was considered to be the original fleet. The blue-white star to the left represents Gamma Orionis, aka Bellatrix, the home of Blue Fleet Command Starbase Gamma. The orange star at the bottom represents Herod, the location of the joint Romulan-Federation DS-12 and a wormhole to the Gamma Quadrant.
