Scene: Krysa's Holodeck Program<br>
>Thirty minutes later the now happy bartender was waist deep in water<br>
>and concentrating on a small school of fish. It wasn't until the<br>
>dark shadow past over him and began to hover that he realized<br>
>something was wrong. Bat had always been a voracious reader and<br>
>while science fiction was his genre of choice he had read enough<br>
>fantasy to know a dragon when he saw it, especially one that was<br>
>about to spew flames. With not even a second to spare the<br>
>ex-security officer and soon to be tasty morsel dropped to the river<br>
>bed and pushed off with all his might. There could only be one<br>
>culprit and as he broke the surface and gasped for air he screamed<br>
>one word. "Krysa!!"<br>
The dragon, who had been licking his lips at the juicy tidbit in
front of him stopped at the sound of the human's voice. <nowiki><What did you
say?></nowiki>
Bat froze, "Help! I hear you .. Where are you? Why don't you come out
and help me?"
The dragon splashed down in the water beside the confused man
splashing water on the shore soaking the dry sandy bank. <nowiki><I am out.
Who are you?></nowiki>
Bat looked at the Midnight blue dragon eyeing him. "Are <nowiki>*you*</nowiki> talking
to *me*?"
<nowiki><Do you see anyone else around?></nowiki>
Bat was tempted to look around then thought better of it not wanting
to take his eye of the dragon who could probably swallow him whole.
"I guess not. I thought you were going to eat me."
<nowiki><I was.></nowiki> said the dragon matter-of-factly. Bat swallowed hard almost
afraid to ask why the dragon had suddenly changed his mind. <nowiki><But I
thought I heard you call a name. Did you?></nowiki>
"Well, yes I did. I called out 'Krysa'."
<nowiki><Do you know her?></nowiki>
"I .." Bat paused wondering if knowing Krysa was a good thing or not
from them dragon's point of view. "I did. I was just out doing some
fishing to relax and .."
<nowiki><Hrmph! I suppose if you are a friend of Krysa's I shouldn't eat
you.></nowiki>
"Oh, I am definitely a friend." Bat said quickly agreeing that the
dragon shouldn't eat him.
<nowiki><Very well, I won't eat you this time. But you human's have got to
learn to stay where it's safe or you may very well get eaten. Some
dragon's wouldn't care that you were a friend of Makayla's pet.></nowiki> With
that the large dragon launched himself into the air, leaving Bat to
contemplate his words.

Onta and Krysa were heading toward their respective dragon's when the
computer voice chimed. <nowiki><All senior staff to the Observation Lounge.></nowiki>
Krysa sighed, "And I was just beginning to enjoy this."
Onta chuckled. "Duty calls."
Nodding, Krysa said, "Computer, save program and end."
<nowiki><Program saved. Are you sure you wish to end the program?></nowiki>
"Yes."
The landscape vanished, replaced by the black and yellow grid of the
holodeck. Krysa and Onta turned and their eyes widened in surprise to
see a dripping wet Bat standing looking foul-tempered.
"Bat? What are you doing here?" Krysa asked.
"I was going to do a bit of fishing. But it turned out the bait was
me! Dragon-bait!!"
Krysa chuckled. "Don't worry, Bat, all the safeties are on. You
wouldn't have been hurt."
Bat hrmphed. "I just wanted a little quiet fishing to relax."
"Well you picked the wrong holodeck, my friend," said Krysa, her eyes
lit with the humor of the situation. She finally couldn't stop
herself and the laughter came bubbling out of her. Soon Onta was
laughing along and within a short time, even the soaked Bat couldn't
help himself.
Regards,<br>
