Now that the saboteur was incarcerated, and repairs were underway, Krysa
stepped up to the Captain’s chair.
“I find it interesting that the Phoenix was willing to blatantly tell us
they were planing to destroy us.” Krysa said.
Zane nodded, “I’ve been thinking the same thing myself.”
“I think they were most likely expecting help, which for one reason or
another never came.”
“Maybe the Xanthandi raiders scared them off.” Zane hypothesized.
“It’s possible.” Krysa said hesitantly.
“You don’t think so?”
“Well, we’re talking about Grey fleet officers who definitely are looking
for a way back into the main fleet. There is most likely some dissension in
the ranks. Possibly between Captain’s of the various ships.”
“So we’re fighting a split army.”
Krysa smiled, “Probably. Not to mention the Xanthandi pirates who add
another element to this. I think if we play our card right, we could come
out of this unscathed with some simple sensor tricks.”
“Such as?”
“Well, what do you suppose ~Captain~ Tremaine would do if one of supposedly
fellow ships suddenly appeared to be working with us... or even the
Xanthandi.”
“You want to make them paranoid.”
She nodded, “If they are looking over their shoulders for enemies, they are
most likely going to miss us.”
“How do you plan on pulling this off?”
“Well, I have some old sensor codes for the Phoenix. Now I realize it’s
extremely likely that they’ve changed them. But I with what I have a few
creative tricks of my own I can create doubt,” she grinned, “hopefully
enough to make them worried.”
“What about the other Grey fleet ships, should they show up.”
Krysa shrugged, “I’m not sure I could do anything there, but hopefully
Tremaine will be paranoid enough that we would have to.”

NRPG: Since I don’t like fighting... how about we let them fight it out amongst themselves :) :)<br>
