STARFLEET ACADEMY RECORD NOTES:

January 2419 Ensign Kabreigny is an extraordinary individual, sharp, intelligent and a keen sense of fairness. However, he also exhibits a boldness, argumentative demeanor and lack of discipline at times. This evening he engaged in a heated argument with SCPO Banav over interpretation of Star Fleet Regulations, in front of the entire squad no less. While Joko was correct and Chief Banav was not, I cannot have future officers arguing openly with NCOs. He should have followed the chain of command and brought the issue to me to settle. I’m logging this as an ROD for both Banav and Kabreigny, they both should know better going forward. - Master Chief Petty Officer Nadine Toussiant, Senior NCO Star Fleet Academy OCS, Marseille Campus

May 2419 Ensign Kabreigny exhibited great leadership and fortitude today in upholding the Academy’s Honor Code when he alerted his commanding officer that two of his classmates were planning an attempt to cheat on their final exams. It takes great courage to speak up and do the right thing, even when it may feel wrong. It is the decision of myself and the Commandant to place a special commendation in his permanent record for this action along with the presentation of the Star Fleet Achievement Medal. Upon graduation, I hope Joko will take a billet at the Academy and continue to serve with distinction and honor he has demonstrated today. - Captain Sean McDonough, Deputy Commandant Star Fleet Academy OCS, Marseille Campus

PERSONAL SUMMARY

Joko grew up in Toroki City, a suburb of the planetary capital city of Venova. Raised in a Terran culture & environment, despite his outwardly Vulcan appearance. His early childhood was devoted to learning and honing his skills in Parrises Squares. While his teenage years were mostly spent in libraries studying anything and everything he encountered, other endeavors occupied much of his time. Joko had many romantic encounters, as the Pon Farr (time of mating) ignited the burning passions every seven weeks rather than seven years in a normal Vulcan male. Doctors were unable to treat this rare disorder, much to his indifference.

PERSONALITY SUMMARY

Likes: Organization, compassion, attention to details and people who embrace humor Dislikes: Cold temperatures, Klingon cuisine, zero gravity. Chaos, rudeness and those who lack emotions Strengths: Clever. Engaging. Passionate. Always willing to listen. Opportunities: Very impatient. Competitive, hates to lose. Bold, sometimes too forthright.

SERVICE NOTES

October 2424 “Lieutenant Kabreigny’s service to the V’Shar for the past 11 months has been adequate. I recommend he seek the teachings of the Kolinahr masters to improve his focus on logic. His constant tendencies toward emotion are often puzzling to the Vulcan way of life and yet his tenacity and grim persistence in matters have frequently proven triumphant. Peace and Long Life, Joko.” - Sub Director Soroti (Vulcan-Romulan), Commander of V’Shar Outpost [LOCATION RESTRICTED O-7 CLEARANCE REQUIRED]

October 2430 “Lieutenant Commander Joko Kabreigny is an emigma in many ways! A humorous Vulcan to begin with, and a man who is passionate in the application of Star Fleet regulations, but will never blindly follow orders when faced with an injustice or legal dilemma. He has served exceptionally well on both defense and prosecution teams, often instrumental in securing an acquittal or conviction. The man knows his stuff, knows how to argue a point, but he’s the biggest pain in the ass since his father!” - Captain Charko Azidi (Trill), JAG Commander Deep Space 13

January 2431 “While he only served on my Diplomatic team for a short 5 months, Joko was both a huge asset and crucial part of our operation while also the biggest pain in my aft section! Good luck my friend, I wish you well in your next assignment.” - Ambassador Jacques Pitteloud (Terran), Federation Embassy on Andoria

February 2434 “As of this date, at the recommendation of our CMO, Doctor Selar, and I grant LCDR Kabreigny an extended leave/sabbatical due to the loss of a family member. Never in my 43 years of service have I seen someone collapse internally, especially a Vulcan. Joko is a friend and valued member of my staff, and it is with clear understanding that he will use this time to heal himself and get his ass back to work!” - Lieutenant Colonel L’haerrh Stodoss (Xindi) , Deputy JAG Commander, Vulcan Station (40 Eridani)

MEDICAL RECORD:

PHYSICAL/MENTAL LIMITATIONS:

Patient suffers tremendous anxiety in zero gravity environments. This has been a lifelong condition. Lexorin 50cc is the typical response, but has had a limited affect on Joko’s symptoms. Unusually empathic, though not as capable as a Betazoid or other similar true empath-rated species. Joko never pursued the Vulcan Kolinahr disciplines but has mastered the mental philosophies and practices of multiple cultures across (and beyond) the Federation. Amazingly high tolerance for alcohol or the equivalent from many Federation worlds.

FITNESS REPORT:

SD 341001, Joko also suffers from the rapid and frequent onset of Pon Farr much more often than a normal full Vulcan. To date, no pharmaceuticals or therapies have been able to subvert this condition, however the patient seems fine with that outcome.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE:

Joko is exceptionally clever and insightful. His temperament can be very willful at times and will go to great lengths to win a debate/argument. Very forthright and bold and outspoken. Almost teeters at crossing the lines of protocol at times, much to the distress of his CO’s. He is cautious in befriending people, yet exceptionally loyal to those he considers friends and bestows his trust. Intense devotion to duty, justice and morals have always been his guiding focus. He will leverage both logic and emotions as circumstances warrant but tends to defer to emotions.

RECREATIONAL INTERESTS:

Beagle (Terran canine) named Athos (Born 2433) Classical music, Terran and Andorian Exotic liquors, Terran, Breen, Cardassian, Risa etc. Terran & Vulcan military history Ancient Terran, Vulcan and Andorian philosophy Parrises Squares, swimming Exploring exotic times/locations on the Holodeck, dabbles in creating programs.

BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY:

Joko is the Great-Great grandson of Vice Admiral Quarlo Noriece Kabreigny, Chief of Star Fleet Science Division from 2249 until her death in 2277 at the age of 104. The Kabreigny Family, who traces their genealogy back some 400 years, have always been staunch supporters of NASA, UESPA, Earth Start Fleet, and later the Federation/Star Fleet’s role as a tool of exploration, research, and scientific endeavors. While not as politically prominent as other noteworthy families such as the Velds, Brooks or Sharps, the Kabreigny’s have maintained low-key roles helping to guide and maintain the foundations of the UFP and Star Fleet.

He is one-quarter Vulcan, from his Grandmother T’Quel. Though raised with human culture, his biology (and ears) reflects that of a Vulcan.

In 2390, Joko was born to delighted parents who previously had difficulties starting a family. Astonishing tragedy struck the family in 2403, a ground car accident claimed the life of his Mother Tileen, yet the driver of the other car was never found and brought to face justice. Shortly after the funeral, his father Jordon resigned his commission in Star Fleet to raise Joko on Arvada III. The colony suffered near extinction in the late 2330s from an ecological catastrophe but has emerged as a flourishing center of commerce, art, and education.

At 14, it was discovered he had a rare genetic disorder that caused Pon Farr, the intense ‘mating urge’ to flare up roughly every 2 months, instead of the normal seven years in the average full blooded adult Vulcan. This condition is rare and untreatable with standard pharmaceuticals or behavior therapies. Limited success has been noted in advanced Kolinahr levels, but Joko declined that path. He choose to endure the urges like many teenagers through multiple romantic encounters.

Overall competitive sports were never appealing to Joko, however he became enthralled with and absorbed in the thrills and challenges Parrises Squares at age 14; and by 17 he had won several local tournaments in both singles and team matches. During one game, a 16-year-old Joko was fouled by another player, causing him to fall and break his left wrist. The judges failed to acknowledge the foul resulting in losing the game by 2 points. Team sports helped to provide not only a distraction to offset the Pon Farr, but also an ample supply of new friends to engage in romantic encounters when absolutely necessary, medically speaking.

Joko excelled academically, obtaining degrees in engineering, psychology, and sociology but found a lack of passion in either of those areas of study. After graduating from the V’Shar and receiving his commission as a Sublieutenant, he found the life of an intelligence analyst less than challenging and decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. Securing an appointment from an old and cherished family friend, Joko was admitted to Star Fleet Academy’s accelerated Officer’s Candidate School, graduating a Lieutenant, j.g. (with a prior commission from another Federation Charter world).

The young, freshly minted JTJG immersed himself in the culture of France and his position as an aide to Deputy Commandant Maec S'Tarleya, where his duties were focused on handling the diplomatic functions for the Commandant and Deputy Commandant. Here he discovered his passion for negotiation, mediation, protocol and diplomacy. He seemed to have a flair for bringing peace to conflicts, utilizing his interpersonal talents and helped the senior officers at both official Academy functions and Honor Code hearings.

In April of 2423, Sub Director Soroti of the V’Shar (Joko’s former CO) requested his service. Thought joint negotiations between Star Fleet and the V’Shar, Joko was once again assigned to the Vulcan Security Service, this time on detached duty. His assignment was [LOCATION RESTRICTED O-7 CLEARANCE REQUIRED].

February 2425 saw the conclusion to his ‘on loan’ mission with the V’Shar. Always intrigued by the depth and precision of law, Joko decided to return to Star Fleet Academy and pursue law degrees. As he seemed to excel in mediation, a Masters of Dispute Resolution was his first accomplishment. Afterwards, the next two years he immersed himself in Star Fleet regulations and obtained his JD in SF Uniform Code of Military Justice.

July 2428 – With 2 new law degrees, graduation from the Command & Staff Officer College, and now a new hollow pip of an O-4, Joko was able to secure an appointment to the SF JAG Corps (with a tiny bit of help from his father Jordon, a JAG Regional Commander). His first posting was to Deep Space 13 as a staff Counselor for the JAG team at the starbase. Joko was assigned to both prosecution and defense teams, gleaning experience from both sides of the courtroom.

Growing bored with the tedium and slow pace of trial work, Joko missed the lively interactions of diplomacy. While court martials were fine when they actually happened, more often than not they were dismissed due to plea agreements, motions to dismiss or other technicalities. Joko put in for a transfer, and in October 2430 was transferred to Andoria, assigned as the SFJAG Liaison Officer at the Federation Embassy. He began to flourish in delight, putting all his skills, education and talents to bear as various dignitaries, Ambassadors and other Federation Foreign Service Officers never seemed to agree on anything. He started dating Sivon, a tall, blue, handsome junior staff member to the Andorian Ambassador.

January 2431 – Joko is transferred to Vulcan and assigned as the SFJAG Liaison Officer at the Federation Embassy there, along with his mate Sivon, now a Diplomatic Attache. Both worked under the tutelage of the legendary Vulcan Ambassador Spolluv. Though Joko and Spolluv were polar opposites in philosophy, their differences were the foundation of a brilliant mentor-mentee relationship. Like most Vulcans, logic was a way of life, yet to Joko logic was merely a tool to be applied equally with emotions, much to the chagrin of Spolluv.

Deecember 2432 – Joko became engaged to Sivon, the future couple decided to take leave in October of next year and return to Arvada III to get married.

February 2433 – Sivon is assigned as a member of a Diplomatic Task Force. Joko is denied to join the Task Force, his services still needed at the Embassy. The Task Force is sent on a peacekeeping assignment to Patria I, a probable Federation member were the citizens were on the brink of a civil war. A terrorist attack obliterates the building they were working in, leaving no survivors. Devastated, Joko takes a sabbatical from Star Fleet. He returns to Aveda III to explore options to alleviate the sorrow, pain, depression, and anxiety of losing his most cherished soulmate.

February 2435 – Joko’s father, Commodore Jordon Kabreigny is listed as MIA while on a mission to [RESTRICTED O-10 CLEARANCE REQUIRED] Template:Detached duty to Section 31 on the new Romulan Colony. Joko, having just gotten on the road of recovery after losing Sivon now must start the process over again.

March 2435 – Joko follows the chain of command and repeatedly requests to be returned to active duty and join the team to search for his father. Numerous officers with one, two and even three collar stars all rejected his requests.

April 2435 – Joko travels to Alpha Centauri to visit and seek the advice of his longtime family friend and defacto “Uncle” Johan Bauer (CDOR, retired). Contemplating resigning his commission and seeking other unofficial means to locate his missing father.

May 2435 – Joko is reunited with his father Jordon. Father, son and beagle all report to SB Alpha for assignment. Jordon is promoted to acting COMJAG, while Joko is assigned his first ever position on a starship, CNS/PRO aboard the USS Yorktown.
