The Ranger is the first of the second generation Sentinel-class frigates. She has upgraded drive and sensor systems making this large frigate even more capable than her predecessors in class. The Ranger is part of Task Force Horizon, which has been deployed in the Kryadala Region, at the outer edges of Federation space, due to the recent discovery of a network of Iconian orbital rings that allow for almost instant transport through vast distances. Task Force Horizon is comprised by SB Magellan as the command post for the force, the USS Destiny Tactical Group, and several solo exploration surveyors, of which the USS Ranger is the only role play unit so far. The Ranger is operating as a small unit and is at writing capacity.
