Commander, Star Fleet Judge Advocate General (DEPCOMJAG)
• Reports directly to the CSFO
• Responsible for interpreting and executing the legal strategy for Star Fleet
• Advises the CSFO, CINCSF and UFP Secretary of Star Fleet on all legal matters
• May be serve as Presiding Judge in cases regarding Federation Security
Deputy Commander, Star Fleet Judge Advocate General (DEPCOMJAG)
• Reports directly to the COMJAG
• Executive Officer to COMJAG
• Commanding Officer JAG Headquarters SB Alpha
• May be serve as Presiding Judge in cases regarding Federation Security or as appointed by COMJAG
Chief of Staff, Star Fleet Judge Advocate General (CoS/JAG)
• Reports directly to COMJAG
• Senior JAG Administrative Officer
• Coordinates operations of all JAG Divisional Starbase Office (DSO)
• May be serve as Presiding Judge in cases regarding Federation Security or as appointed by COMJAG/DEPCOMJAG
Commander, Divisional Star Base Office JAG (COMDSOJAG)
• Reports directly to CoS/JAG
• Responsible for implementing and interpreting the SF UCMJ on all Star Fleet facilities within the assigned jurisdiction of a capital Star Base
• Directly/indirectly supervises the junior officers and enlisted support staff assigned to the DSO.
• May be serve as Presiding Judge in cases regarding matters related to the assigned Star Base or as appointed by COMJAG/DEPCOMJAG/CoSJAG
Executive Officer, Divisional Star Base Office JAG (XODSOJAG)
• Reports directly to the COMDSOJAG of a given Star Base
• Under the direction of the COMDSOJAG he/she has entire charge of all matters relating to the personnel, operations, and discipline of the JAG unit.
• Typically will serve as either Trial Counsel or Defense Counsel. In rare circumstances, may be assigned as Presiding Judge in cases regarding matters related to the assigned Star Base.
Staff Judge Advocate
• Reports directly to the XODSOJAG
• Uniformed Star Fleet officers who have obtained one or more advanced law degrees and have passed the UFP Bar Association exam.
• Typically will serve as either Trial Counsel or Defense Counsel.
• SJAs are assigned to teams of two officers and one enlisted support staff
• Teams typically focus on one type of law, (criminal, diplomatic, etc.)
