TACFLEET NOTES
This ship class is the only known assault ship employed by the Hegemony navy at present time. It sacrifices the muscle of larger-class combat vessels for troop deployment capabilities.
At this, the COMPY excels. These vessels normally carry large numbers of shock troops on board and several heavy-and-light tank companies. With such firepower, several COMPYS, fully- loaded, could overrun most ground defenses quickly.
These vessels are believed to be responsible for the conquest of Iotia by Hegemony forces in 2408-09; it wasn't until the liberation of Iotia in 2410 by Star Fleet forces commanded by 2LT Molly Sharpe that these vessels were first sighted.
