PERSONAL HISTORY

EARLY LIFE:

Jordan is the great-grandson of Vice Admiral Quarlo Noriece Kabreigny, Chief of Star Fleet Science Division from 2349 until her death in 2377 at the age of 104. The Kabreigny Family, who trace their genealogy back some 400 years, have always been staunch supporters of NASA, UESPA, the Federation, and Star Fleet's role as a tool of exploration, research, and scientific endeavors.

In 2362, Jordon's father Theodore was stationed on Vulcan as a Cultural Advisor to the Star Fleet Liaison on Vulcan. That year, T'qel, an acquaintance and co-worker of his, were married in the traditional Vulcan ceremony. Near the end of the year, Theodore and T'quel moved to Aveda III, where he was assigned to evaluate the second colonization attempt, after it's disastrous demise in 2234.

In 2370, Jordon was born to ecstatic parents, to be raised in a human lifestyle. Two years later they saw the birth of Jordon's brother, Kyle. That year Theodore accepted a position as a civilian cultural advisor to Star Fleet Command, the Kabreigny family left Aveda III for their new home in Tycho City, SOL 3-A (Terra's moon).

Being close to Star Fleet throughout his entire adolescent years inspired Jordon's interest in military history. Many hours spent absorbing all he could about Star Fleet, the old United Nations, and other military services of Terra and other Federation members. By the age of 16, Jordon was a young & accomplished expert in Federation history.

The principles and values of the Federation, Star Fleet, shared by the Kabreigny family for generations, lead Jordon to pursue a Legal career and was accepted into the Lunar Horizons Collegium in the fall of 2388. In October that year Jordon met Candice Kakissis, a sophomore and fellow law student. A very swift and passionate romance led to their marriage in December.

What seemed to friends and family like the perfect marriage was anything but. Behind the polished smiles and picture-perfect facade, Candice and Jordon were worlds apart—clashing ambitions, clashing personalities, and whispers of shady rumors about Candice’s so-called "adventures" with other men. As trust unraveled, Candice filed for divorce, while Jordon, wanting to erase the mistake entirely, pursued an annulment. By April 2389, their ill-fated union was nothing more than a cautionary tale of love gone wrong.

As the spring term of 2389 at Lunar Horizons Collegium drew to a close, Jordon found himself struggling—his grades slipping, his enthusiasm waning. It was an unusual sight for an honors student who once thrived on the pursuit of law, the interest remained but lacked any motivation. But the Collegium held too many bitter memories, shadows he wished he could outrun. Then came Tileen Stuart—witty, charismatic, and utterly captivating. A fellow law student, she swept into his life like a force of nature, pulling him from the depths of his discontent. What began as an unexpected, passionate romance soon became his salvation, breathing new purpose into his days. And by late July, their love story took an exhilarating turn—they were expecting a baby boy! They were joyfully married in August 2389 on the banks of Lake Armstrong just outside of the old Lunar One Colony in a small ceremony with a handful of close friends and relatives.

Seeking a radical change for both him and his growing family, Jordon turned to the two people he trusted most—his father and his longtime friend, Johan Bauer, a Cadet at Starfleet Academy. Their guidance, along with the weight of the Kabreigny family pride, steered him toward a bold new path steeped with tradition in the family, a career in Star Fleet. With renewed determination, Jordon applied to Starfleet Academy and was accepted for the fall 2389 term as a sophomore, receiving credit for his studies at Lunar Horizons Collegium. Embracing this fresh start, he and Tileen, now newlyweds, settled into a charming village just east of the Starfleet Academy campus in Marseille, France—a place fittingly named La Valentine, where their new journey as a family would begin.

STAR FLEET:

As a Sophomore at the Academy, Jordon saw little time for anything except his studies. His second year was met with crisis when Jordon and a squad of Cadets were on an extended 1-week survival exercise in the Sahara Desert. Jordon saved a fellow Cadet from heatstroke, but broke the chain of command in doing so, scarcely avoiding a charge of insubordination. This Senior year saw Jordon promoted to Cadet Captain, and May of 2392 saw his graduation with honors, and commissioned as Lieutenant, Junior Grade despite the rebuke incurred in his sophomore year.

Graduation from Armstrong Lunar Base took just over a month, and being in Star Fleet had re-ignited his yearning to become a Star Fleet Judge Advocate and pursue his lifelong ambitions of becoming the Judge Advocate General and ultimately the UFP Secretary of Star Fleet.

Jordon returned to Star Fleet Academy to complete his law degree, pass the UFP Bar Exam and began the career path of a Military Justice Litigation Officer. During this time, Jordon and Academy mentor Johan Bauer grew to become best of friends, frequenting the finer lounges of Old Town San Francisco and have remained close to this day as their career paths seemed to align and move together throughout their entire length of service.

Jordon bounced around assignments and roles throughout his entire Star Fleet career. While only experiencing a few years of Starship duty, Jordon does not at all regret the path he chose. Initial posts include first a lengthy tour in the Judge Advocate General's office in a variety of roles, and later a short assignment in the Star Fleet Intelligence Agency. The tour in SFIA provided the young officer with a comprehensive package of experiences, insight and a network of contacts, all of which would become invaluable in later years. Other tours in the Star Fleet Diplomatic Corps, SF Marines and the Star Fleet Criminal Investigative Service added competencies that serve him well as he climbed the ranks and assumed increasingly challenging billets with significant command responsibilities.

While assigned to the Star Fleet Diplomatic Corps, Jordon served as an aide to his long-time friend and now Commander Johan Bauer, together working with various UFP Ambassadors and their staff in developing and smoothing cooperation between many Federation and non-aligned systems.

Two months into his assignment as the Director of Defense Service Operations, Jordon receives devastating news—his wife, Tileen was killed in a ground car accident. Grief-stricken, he takes a leave of absence to return to Terra and mourn. During this time, he is approached by Motlalepule, a Kelpien Section 31 agent, who offers to help track down the other driver responsible for Tileen’s death as local authorities were at a loss. Jordon accepts without hesitation. Three weeks later, he receives an anonymous message stating the driver had been arrested but died by suicide in his holding cell. Authorities find no explanation, but Jordon is certain it was no accident—though he can never prove it.

After a year of mourning and restless semi-retirement, Jordon felt adrift—until a chance reunion over lunch changed everything. Commodore Bauer saw the fire still burning in him and convinced him to reactivate his commission for a deep-space assignment aboard a starship. Though completely out of his element, Jordon soon found himself captivated by the endless challenges and adventures of life among the stars.

Aboard the USS BURKE, he formed an unexpected but steadfast bond with its captain, Commander Daniel Garrett. Over two years, their friendship deepened, forged through shared trials and triumphs. But as all journeys must shift course, Garrett eventually moved on to his next command, and a few months later, Jordon, enriched by the experience, returned to his JAG career—forever changed by his time among the stars.

With the necessary education and experience, Jordon was ecstatic at obtaining the qualification as a Military Judge, rotating through many assignments across the UFP. As a Joint Service qualified officer, he served for a few years as a Military Judge for the Star Fleet/Star Fleet Marine Corps Court of Appeals as a member of the tribunals that presided over many complex cases, and made rulings that would shape the future of Star Fleet’s combined service components for decades and beyond.

Selected by the JAG RADM Jevel Torsoria to help overhaul and modernize Star Fleet’s aging investigative branch, Jordon was assigned as the Senior Staff Judge Advocate on a critical task force. Jordon and his team of legal, law enforcement and intelligence experts laid the foundation for a bold transformation, reshaping the agency into a cutting-edge force for law enforcement, protection, and intelligence. Their efforts culminated in the creation of what is now known as the Star Fleet Security & Investigative Service—an elite organization that stands as the backbone of justice and security across the fleet.

After completing the SFSECIS assignment, Jordon assumed a series of complex and challenging judiciary and advisory roles that lead Jordon to be assigned as Commander of the Naval Justice School, Assistant and then Chief Judge of Star Fleet, followed by appointment as Deputy Judge Advocate General, ever so close to reaching the pinnacle of his Star Fleet career.

In January 2435, Jordon received a visit from Motlalepule, now a Deputy Director for Section 31, intent on calling in the favor Jordon ‘owed’ him for bringing his wife’s killer to justice, via an untimely execution. Jordon flatly refused, and Motlalepule pulled out the blackmail card from his hideous bag of trick, threatening his son Joko. Begrudgingly, Jordon agreed. Intelligence sources indicated severe political unrest in the Romulan Free State, turmoil between the Praetor aided by the Tal Shiar against the Military and the Tal Diaan. Jordon was to take on the role of a history professor at one of the prestigious universities on Dewa III, indiscreetly make contacts and obtain as much information about the political unrest and potential threat to the Federation. Motlalepule assured him the mission would only last a few months, and Section 31 would provide a convincing cover story to explain his absence.

Everything about the mission—and Deputy Director Motlalepule’s words—had been a lie. Jordon’s handler was supposed to check in weekly, but he was lucky if she appeared once a month. His repeated requests for extraction were ignored until May.

Finally home, he reunited with friends and family who had feared the worst after he was reported MIA. But the relief was short-lived. Enraged, Jordon confronted Motlalepule, who simply shrugged and said their mutual debt was settled—though he could always use Jordon’s talents again. “Never,” Jordon growled, turning to leave before he gave the Kelpien a reason to rethink that smug expression via a right hook to his jaw.

Once cleared to return to duty, P’Nerow notified Jordon of his confirmation as the acting Star Fleet Judge Advocate General, one of his lifelong ambitions.

Upon retirement from Star Fleet, Jordon hopes to secure his ultimate career goal, that of the UFP Deputy Secretary of Star Fleet and then onto SECFLEET.

ACADEMY NOTES:

July 2391 “During this month’s extensive survival training exercise, Cadet 3rd class Ryan Calloway began to exhibit signs of heatstroke. Cadet Commander Jordon Kabreigny ordered Calloway to break ranks, seek shade and hydrate himself. The squad leader, Cadre Gunnery Sergeant Azoshaa Zh'shaakrek was not notified until after the fact and adamantly insisted on writing up Kabreigny for insubordination. In my opinion, both the Cadet Command and the Gunnery Sergeant were wrong. While Kabreigny should have followed his chain of command, his intentions and actions of potentially saving the life of a fellow Cadet did not rise to the level of insubordination. Thus, I have dismissed that report (much to the chagrin of Sergeant Zh’shaakrek) and logged this as an administrative Record of Discussion. - Rear Admiral Hontoro Naurosso, Commandant Star Fleet Academy – San Francisco Campus Terra/Sol-3

June 2392 “LTJG Jordon Kabreigny successfully completed the Division Officer Leadership Course here at Armstrong Lunar Base, demonstrating exceptional leadership acumen, critical thinking, and operational readiness. Throughout the many course simulations, Mister Kabreigny has consistently exceeded expectations, earning top evaluations in decision-making, personnel management, and mission execution. His ability to apply course principles to real-world scenarios showcased outstanding potential for future command roles. Jordon displayed unwavering professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to the Star Fleet’s core values, setting a standard for peers and junior officers alike.” - Commander Jer'ec Tholov, Permanent Military Instructor - Armstrong Lunar Base Luna/Sol-3A

PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS (FITREPS):

September 2395Overall Performance: Proficient in all assigned duties • Strengths: “Lieutenant Kabreigny’s 6-month tour aboard the STARFIRE has been completed, and for a green SJA Joron has an uncanny mastery of Star Fleet’s Uniform Code of Military Justice. Numerous times he has cited a regulation or provided an interpretation I had never thought of. I have no doubt you will make an excellent litigator and judge in the future.”
Areas for Improvement: “Jordon is exceptionally empathetic and posses a genuine desire to help service personnel in need, which is commendable however his training must include the prosecutorial duties of a trial counsel and will need to embrace the experiences he will gain in his next assignment at the Region Legal Service Office (RLSO) on Starbase OMICRON. Godspeed and good luck, Mister Kabreigny.
- Captain Séverin Tantoh, Commanding Officer USS STARFIRE NCC-2005

April 2410Overall Performance: Excels in all assigned duties • Strengths: “Lieutenant Commander Jordon Kabreigny is perhaps one of the most resourceful, witty, intelligent and stubborn officers I have ever served with in my nearly 16 years in the ‘Fleet. His incredible knack for finding the most unorthodox yet viable solution to a problem continues to amaze me. Likewise, his passion and deep caring for the crew made him a stellar Counselor even though his dedication to the JAG.”
Areas for Improvement: “Jordon can be excruciatingly stubborn at times, and while I valued his guidance and counsel over the past two years, another CO may not be so tolerant of your outbursts. Be vigilant in advice, but know when to shup up, my friend. As I am leaving the BURKE with orders for my next assignment forthcoming from BUPERS, this will be my last FITREP. Safe journeys, Jordon. It’s been a pleasure serving with you and perhaps we shall do so again.”
- Commander Daniel Garrett, Commanding Officer USS BURKE NCC-31103

March 2430Overall Performance: Excels in all assigned duties • Strengths: “Commodore Kabreigny, your service to the JAG Corps has been nothing short of extraordinary. As Assistant Chief Judge, you’ve presided over some of the most complex and challenging cases, shaping the very foundation of Starfleet case law with your sharp legal mind and unwavering integrity. You command your courtroom with skill and authority, keeping both defense and trial counsel sharp—whether on their feet or their paws!

I’ve agreed with nearly all of your rulings, and even in those rare moments where our interpretations differ, I’ve always respected the thoughtfulness behind your judgments. Jordon, it is both an honor and a privilege to announce your confirmation as the new Chief Judge of Starfleet.”
Areas for Improvement: "I struggle to find anything of real consequence to critique, but since I must list something, I’d advise focusing on the clarity and brevity of your rulings and written opinions. While your thoroughness is commendable, you have a tendency to go above and beyond—where I might write two pages, you write ten! A more concise approach would enhance efficiency without sacrificing the depth of your legal reasoning."
- RADM Jevel Torsoria, Judge Advocate General Star Fleet Command
