The Ranger is one of the first batches of Wanderlust-class Explorer Light Cruisers, and proud successor of Sentinel-class frigate NCC-82675. The Wanderlust-class CL has last generation systems all across the board, from weapons, shields, propulsion and sensors to computers, labs and even shuttle crafts. The Ranger is part of Task Force Horizon, which has been deployed in the Kryadala Region, at the outer edges of Federation space, due to the recent discovery of a network of Iconian orbital rings that allow for almost instant transport through vast distances. Task Force Horizon is comprised by SB Magellan as the command post for the force, the USS Destiny Tactical Group, USS Tovarish Support Group, the USS Ranger Tactical Group and several solo exploration surveyors. The USS Ranger is the only role play unit so far. The Ranger is operating as a small unit but open to new players.
