The ''Ranger'' is the first of the second generation ''Sentinel''-class frigates. She has upgraded drive and sensor systems making this large frigate even more capable than her predecessors in class.
The ''Ranger'' is one of the first batches of ''Wanderlust''-class Explorer Light Cruisers, and proud successor of ''Sentinel''-class frigate NCC-82675.


The ''Ranger'' is part of Task Force Horizon, which has been deployed in the Kryadala Region, at the outer edges of Federation space, due to the recent discovery of a network of Iconian orbital rings that allow for almost instant transport through vast distances. Task Force Horizon is comprised by SB Magellan as the command post for the force, the USS Destiny Tactical Group, and several ''solo'' exploration surveyors, of which the USS ''Ranger'' is the only role play unit so far.  
The ''Wanderlust''-class CL has last generation systems all across the board, from weapons, shields, propulsion and sensors to computers, labs and even shuttle crafts.
