A Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) is the second highest supervisory grade for Field Operations within the SFSECIS, and as such is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and leading an investigative unit under the guidance of the assigned Special Agent in Charge and/or Assistant Deputy Director.
